That depends on how you want to paint it, and how you want the paint to look on the kit. If you are hand painting, it's always good to add a few drops of thinner (alcohol or tamiya thinner) to the paint so that it flows better and isn't as thick.

If you are airbrushing, you absolutely need to thin it, or it won't spray out of the airbrush.

I'm no expert but it doesn't look like it needs thinning, It's very runny, like milk, does it need thinning? And yeah I'm planning to hand brush it.

make sure you stir the paint. Shaking isn't recommended for mixing tamiya acrylic paints. Stir it up so that all the settled paint particles get mixed. If it looks pretty thin to you, paint away. You could experiment a little, adding a little thinner as see how that affects the paint performance for you.

Also, try painting the runners first. That way if something goes wrong, it's only on the runner. Once you get the mixture that you like you can start painting the actual model.

Honestly i would never recommend Tamiya acrylics for hand painting...better use lacquers or enamels, or better yet...use citadel warhammer paints...more expensive but is made for hand painting.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'll update you on my WIP later, I decided to try out the Tamiya paints as I thought they were better suited but If Citadel paints are better I'll just use them from now on, my brother collects warhammer so most of the time I don't need to buy the paint.

@doutiga

Wow nice Arios work,looks like you already collected the HW/M series.

Just got the MG Blue Frame a few hours ago,its a very emotional & historical for me as its a very first ever Bandai MG for me.

Whoa Gale Strike vs Blue Frame 2nd,i wonder which one win....

What is this..,is it only apply in Japanese country..?
