Wow this chapter blew.... They're trying really hard to end the series aren't they? WTF. For a chapter to test the waters this was pretty bad. Doing a character introduction chapter to test the waters...

just read the chapter and it definitely feels like a chapter where the stories coming to an end I give it 5 or 6 more chapter to end it, y'know if the author ever decides to finish it

Great chapter its been so long!! and Reis dad was pretty Boss in this, he shouldnt have many problems dealing with the teacher perv when he shows up, im guessing the perv will incite all the crazy plp for some stupid reason, but that shouldnt last long

After 2 long years (it feels longer) we finally have a new chapter. T_T

I really hope Daisuke Satou has now a commitment to see this through the end and not troll us with another long hiatus. Its alright to take short breaks from time to time but not anything more than 2 months. He's had more than enough time to think where his plot will go. If he has any love at all for the manga's fans he shouldn't ever think of going into another hiatus again.

if he holds out to the end he could stand to gain money off the 2nd series of the anime, and if he finishes it off soon the anime could end with the 2nd series, but on the down side that would make that pervy teach the end badguy for the whole series which is kinda pathetic way to end it....

If you're willing to be optimistic, then there's the theory that this chapter is being used by Dragon Age to gauge the overall interest in this manga, since it's been gone for over two years. It could be used to determine a few things:

Whether HSOTD should run monthly or bimonthly, should it return to a regular schedule
Whether the manga's storyline should wrap up ASAP, or if it's okay to stretch it out for a few more volumes

The worldwide release for the chapter might be a point in favor for this theory, since HSOTD's popularity in the west is not a big secret.

Not just the west, but also much of Asia as well. But I agree with you that this may be just a "test chapter" to determine how HOTD will be published from here on.
