Yeah it really didn't seem that long. She opened her eyes but people don't wake up that fast.

She may be half-asleep still. You know how you are when you first wake up. This will tell us how she really feels too.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't actually kiss. We never saw contact, she could push him away in the first frame. I know what it said, but the editor comments are not to be taken seriously all the time.

Rather than Kouno and Eri, I think Izumi and Eri would make the better couple. That scene in the beginning gives me an impression that they're rather close(least on a friend level).

Why would you need to? A kiss is something that should be a response to something, namely, their feelings, unless the kiss is unwarranted for some reason, which in this situation, is not.
