Well... I just had a look through the Newtype 2004 April issue and found some interesting pictures & TV schedule/synopsis to make a conclusion on Episode 25.

Nah, It's some friend of him. A lieutanant-colonel (Spelling??) from the army. But the guy was nice and friendly so I guess its sort of a loss.

I've seen 24 and it seems like there could be 10 more episodes.

You might want to read the FAQ for this forum again. The show is slated for about 50 episodes run. In terms of manga material, we've reach about the midway point of the available materia as welll.

Yeah I realised that. But since I'm far from my graphical editor, that glowing mistake of mine had to stay in at the moment . I shall fix it when I get access to it again before I die of shame

Actually I kind of expected this. I'm not really surprised. It's been at the back of my head--like it was bound to happen eventually. After a while, you realize that a lot of anime tend to follow a certain pattern that you develop your own sixth sense for these things. Not really shocking, but still...

Back when I first read those chapters from the phonebooks more than a year ago, I could tell he was going to die. Unlike the anime, where you see the guy like practically every other episode, he suddenly had one full chapter devoted to him and his family after only appearing several times in the manga, and fairly briefly at each point.

Personally, I would have been way more devastated in Armstrong got killed instead.

BTW, there were summaries for up to episode 27 in the April Gangan.

Apparently, the gang will just happen to stumble across Izumi by coincidence (the actual reason for leaving Central is different in the anime) in 27.
