I thought it was very pleasantly watchable. I wouldn't call it particularly amazing or noteworthy, but the nice warm summer days (with anachronic samurai running around) of anime.
I do love that they all pretty much get along with Yoichi from basically the get-go. Although you're deluding yourself, S_B, if you think there was a flag for anybody but Ibuki. OP Caps |

Well to be honest...he isn't exactly one who is intent on getting the flags (just yet)
But with this like a lot of other comedy/romances, there is just one destined girl who you can see from a mile away fated to end up with the guy (unless pigs fly).

Just saw the first episode and I loved it! I like how Yoichi is different from the other 'fan servicy' anime male leads *cough* Keitaro *cough*. He is strong, can kick butt, has a wonderful heart, pleasant personality, strong and consistent moral values that he follows through no matter what... I also like how his 'cool' moments outshine his 'clumsiness resulting in fanservice' moments XD And even those moments are really adorable ^_^
Totally going to follow this anime all the way through! ^_^ *thumbs up* |

When I first saw Yoichi I was reminded of Saito from ZnT for some reason, must have been a coincidence Anyways, I have to agree Asu no Yoichi! started out well, the male lead meets up with the female family members in a, for this kind of series, totally normal way and his quest of surviving all accidental boob grabs and pantu shots starts. I'm hoping for 24-26 eps so it can animate quite a big part of the manga, but I have the distinct feeling this will be another 12 eps run. Ah well, time will tell.

Woohoo, finally a show that's likable in the Jan releases.
Just watched the first 5 min, the situation's pretty sad for his father haha. #1 show of the January releases? Edit: =O The voice cast for the three bigger sister is exactly same as Minami-ke? Heard them arguing and thought it sounded very similar. Awesome first episode.

I liked the manga and the anime seems fine so far. The first episode was different but I'll go with it. There was actually less fanservice compared to the first chapter.
You have to wonder how someone whose spent his whole life with his dad and animals can feel..... you know, about women. |

Some parts of this were over the top. But even with that, I had such a great time watching this. I laughed pretty good throughout. The animation looks good. Rina Satou is always great to listen to. And I'm most fond of Ayame's design and have quickly become a fan of Haruka Tomatsu since her role as Nagi in Kannagi. This one was quite the pleasant surprise.

Great first episode. Seems like it the Action hero in a mundane setting style of comedy I loved so much in Fullmetal panic. It seems generic as an action or romance story, but looks like it has the comedy done well. It'll be an 8/10 if it keeps this up, but it could easily get into 9/10 territory if the characters and story don't stay generic.

Color me surprised, it was so insanely generic, but it was pretty fun. The main characters just strike as pretty likable already. I'd just worry if there's any meaningful battles or story twists. Other than that, looks like a decent, easy watch. Not something possibly-heavy like Kurokami. Though I'm watching Kurokami too.
