Nice, KiNA. Very interesting animation. I can't wait to see the finished product with the 'fixed' bg. ^^

@Mimi: Sparklers = Focal point.

It definitely fits the theme. Nice stock choice imo . Though the background could use some improvement imho.

Spoiler for Images:

Don't worry about the size... It's still in 30% progress...
It's very borderline imo. I won't say it's not allowed. But it's very very borderline. I think there are many more pictures out there that convey the theme better.

Thought I'd give it a go.
Still work in progress but thought I'd post it anyway.
My second signature so far so constructive criticism is welcome.
Text needs some work (way too unclear downsized from the original) as do borders.

Filesize limit is giving me a serious headache so that's a jpeg with a forums default bg-color as matte.
Spoiler for Translucent PNG:

I think borderline signatures should be up to the voters to decide. If the voters don't think that the borderline signatures represent ceremonial elegance, then they won't vote for the signature.

Sephi, I wanted to know if my sig entry is okay to use, since you can't really see much of her outfit in the sig.

I second the border. And yes, animation would be nice ^_^ If you had the petals falling slowly, it'd up the awesome factor, since I really like the image you've chosen.

@genryou: I must agree with Marina and Rhyel. Those will look nice on the siggy.^^ Maybe a tiny bit gaussian blur. It will give out a dreamy effect.

Great entry.

It's nice actually. If I were to say something, try to find a way to make the empty space on the right a little less noticeable. You also might want some contrast as well [That's up to you. I'm just throwing out ideas.].

It would have better movement if you animated it [I'm assuming you're going to animate the flower petals.], so try it. If you're wondering what to blur and how strong the blur should be [Building on konstargirl's suggestion.], keep in mind that the farther something is from the focal point [The girl in this case], the more blurry it seems. As an example, stare at something in the distance [Doesn't have to be that far away.] and put your hand to the side of your head where you can see it, but it isn't changing your focus. It's blurred, isn't it?

If that is how you see it. I already said it's allowed, just that there are many more choices out that that can represent the theme better.

There are much more things i want to say along with this. But thinking it over, i think i'll just keep them for myself.

I wish you the best of luck with your signature in this SOTM.

I think when shrunken down her dress will be difficult to see. I agree with Sephi, it's very borderline and there are probably better images out there. If you are determined to use that image, try and put more of her into the sig so we can see what kind of dress she is wearing.

I think the background is very empty. The size of the sig makes it seem even more empty.

It's fine. You might want to try tilting the render or making the sig a little bigger to show more of her clothing off though. Right now most of the sig is taken up by her hair and wing.

I agree that it needs a border. Not sure how well it can be animated at that size though.

Thanks.
Does indeed work way better in narrower form.
Quick crop. (with new text, and again in overweight PNG)

Oh nos! You've gaussian blurred her face! try to keep her face clear, the clothing too since that's where the focus should be for the theme. I think you could also experiment with the border, the straight black is a bit much. I think something softer like a matching pink of the petals would be nice, just try it out.
