Congrats, hope the low vertical pixel count doesn't drive you batty.

Whoever thought up putting 16:9 screens on laptops should be dragged out on the street and shot.

I await the day when there can be adjustable holographic screens. Or some goggles. Then whichever idiots wanted 16:9 can keep their damn 16:9, and I can have my 16:10 or even *gasp* 4:3.

Sniffle, my laptops are 16:9 and I like them

I have no issue with the screen real estate, but I much prefer my lappy to be much thinner as it makes it easier to carry in a good looking backpack.

Probably the reason most computers are becoming 16:9, well because it is alot cheaper for LCD manufacturers to chop off vertical space and produce them cheaply. I for one do not like this ratio and will never buy a laptop that has this aspect ratio because it is stupid. 4:3 to 16:10 gave us more vertical space but 16:10 to 16:9 is a downgrade in my opinion.

If I had to pick from a 1366x768 vs 1280x800 for a 13 inch laptop, I would go for 1280x800 over 1366x768 any day...

My 1810TZ is 1366 x 768 which I have no problems with, but maybe it is because I use Linux/Gnome where I can grab windows from anywhere with alt left click.

The only time I actually prefer 16:9 is in the case of 1600x900, which has more horizontal pixels than the equivalent 16:10 resolution, 1440x900.

I actually don't miss 4:3 that much, because 1024x768 dominated, and that's just too little screen space. I'm suffering with the 1024x600 netbook screen, seriously. D:
