Recommend a DS game?

My friend just recently brought a DS and I wanted to buy a game for him but don't know any good games. Anyone know what I should give him? Any action game would do, just as long as it's not too kiddy or full of narm.

Is it too obvious to recommend Mario Kart DS? To be honest, this is the game that I have spent the most time playing.

There is a Dragonball adventure game which does some pretty fun things with the stylus.

I second that. Easily the best RPG on the DS.

Scribblenauts (seems childish at first, but trust me... it's great fun and a huge challenge sometimes xD) or any of the Phoenix Wright games. They're both great.

The World Ends With You seconded. It's a really fun action rpg and uses both screens simultaneously effectively.

That said (i.e. hours later ) I'll second the Phoenix Wright series, The World Ends With You (which was amazing), and if he's a Zelda fan...there's always Phantom Hourglass, though as always opinions on Zelda's "kiddy-ness" varies.

Super scribblenauts came out a week ago, and it is amazing. Adjectives make this game deserve top ten ever. In no other game will you be riding a supersonic flying velociraptor that accidentaly ate your flying pants.

Phoenix Wright series and Professor Layton (it's more of a puzzle like, intelligence testing series), arguably the best DS games.

oh and 3rd/4th The world ends with you.
