Well, her eyebrows were pretty non-existant to begin with (as is the usual tradition with most anime female characters).

Spoiler for Eureka in ep.1 and ep. 35:

Either that, or they are just trying to emphasise her temporary lack of physical perfection.

Here's what the R1 box will look like.

Major suckage in my opinion! Yes, OP2 rocks... but not as cover art! Still, they use R2 covers for the individual disc, so kudos to Bandai

Er, you mean ED2, right? Personally, I don't like those pictures. They were too gaudy and... gaudy. Meh. I liked the 3rd ED pics a lot better. 1st ED was also ok.

But I can't help but laugh when they say "A huge hit in Japan!" in the description. You ain't fooling me... and they make it sound like Shoji Kawamori had a huge part to play in the story. I never got that impression but maybe it's true, who knows....

I *still* haven't caught up since way back... I don't know if I can do it before school starts. Hm.

I have to agree with MrProphet -- OP2 is nice to look at, but not as box art. Having seen some awesome Eureka Seven art I feel they could have done so much better. That box is meh at best.

btw, I don't know if this is the right place for those, but here's some Eureka Seven cosplay from this year's Winter Comike --

Spoiler for Renton and Eureka holding hands:

Spoiler for Anemone and Dominic:

Spoiler for Renton, Eureka and Holland:

Uhm, yes, I meant ED2 (Fly Away by Asami Izawa).

I think the problem with the art is that R2 releases tend to be very spartan in the amount of various information. Just look at the volume cover and you'll see that almost all of it is art with the logo in ultra-small black letters that doesn't obscure anything.

Boxart, on the other hand, is all about logos and interpolating symbols that absolutely ruin the underlying image.

PS I just hate Japanese girls cosplaying bishounen. They turn out so freaky. Come on, Dominic is not a pretty boy!

Heh, well, but neither is Dominic very manly nor ugly... so it's ok in my book. Besides, would you prefer a 100+ kg otaku?

I prefer for cosplay to never ever exist at all. Well... maybe only for laughs.

PS Dominic is just a regular guy.

Wow. The last three episodes of Season 1 and the first two of Season 2 rocked hard. Ok, so Charles and Ray are reminders (rehashes) of past Sunrise characters, but I enjoyed every second of their time on the screen.

Spoiler:

Sad to see that the forums deserted like this. I hope there would be more discussions for this very underrated series, as the story and characters are really starting to take off!

I agree with you, but I can see why it's like this. The subbed version is lagging horribly compared to the actual series, so subbed watchers keep away for fear of spoilers. Then there are people who watch the raws, but don't speak Japanese well, if at all; they're largely unable to participate in discussions because they're not sure of what's going on. And lastly, there are people who speak Japanese and watch the raws. I'd imagine that there are too few of them (if any) on these forums to carry on full discussions of the series.

Episode 37 happened to be rather boring, all things considred. Dewey's plot was revealed, but it turned out to be nothing special, and I'll betcha a dollar that you all could have seen it a mile away...

Spoiler:

OK, sarcasm aside, the episode was kinda uneventfull and too talkative. First Greg and Norb talked about the nature of Skurve Coral, Great Whorl and the such, and later on Dewey did his rousing speech to the masses. The animation was subpar as well.

I guess the boys from BONES were still partying it out...

The good thing is, next episode will finally shed light on the details of Eureka's birth and on the fate of Adrock.
