(Reuters) - Twitter pals Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger took their chummy online relationship into the New Year Tuesday with a series of new tweets.

The Twitter enthusiasts' love of technology has united the two politicians over the past year, and they have sporadically sent each other friendly tweets since the Russian president met the then Republican governor in June on a Silicon Valley tour.

"Can't wait to see you again -- maybe skiing?" the actor wrote Tuesday in reply to Medvedev's wishes for success after Schwarzenegger stepped down from his governor's post due to term limits.

"We agreed -- I remember. We'll definitely find the time," Medvedev tweeted back.

Medvedev was bowled over by Schwarzenegger when they met in Silicon Valley, quipping "I'll be back" and winking at the Hollywood actor, quoting the famous catch phrase from his film "The Terminator."

Schwarzenegger returned the gesture when he led a group of venture capitalists to Russia's technology hub Skolkovo -- Medvedev's pet project -- outside Moscow in October.

During his Moscow trip, Schwarzenegger tweeted a picture of him and the Kremlin chief lifting weights together.

They can create lawsuits...while in jail??? I thought you lost all of your basic rights in jail, they should not be allowed to file lawsuits, LOL. but that does suck, what happened to him and all lol.

Why would you think that? Just because they committed a crime doesn't mean they lost basic civil rights. While a lot of inmates try to make a legal nuisance of themselves while behind bars, to get back at the legal system, a lawsuit can be used to address legitimate grievances they may have with how they're being treated in prison. Inmates need some sort of legal recourse to address abuse and mistreatment by the prison staff. Of course the nuisance suits make that even harder as legitimate suits are then lumped together and dismissed.

Because I think the death penalty should be a much quicker, more common thing in prison. Like most people I am not happy about having to pay to house and feed all types of criminals, so I don't care how they're treated to be honest.

Or more to the point, that you are never imprisoned falsely. I am against the death penalty because I don't trust human judgment to be right in saying someone deserves to die. As in, I personally might want some criminals killed (child rapists), but I don't think I'm capable of making a prudent choice in such a situation, nor is anyone.

People don't trust a jury, or judge - but seem to have no problem trusting religious leaders, or a scientist with an agenda. Everyone has their reasons.

Either way I stick to my opinion, criminals in prison for life are better off dead. Not only would it maybe save some cash but they'd have more space aswell.

Actually I think plenty of people, you being one of them, trust a jury or a judge with such a decision. Now personally, I don't trust any religious leader, and as someone familiar with nutrition am quite wary of scientists with agendas (agribusiness sponsors studies that give their products good names, etc). But that's not really related to this. You can renounce your religion, convert to another one, change your opinions/outlook on science, but you can't reverse *killing* someone. The finality of that decision, coupled with our lack of information on what happens when one dies, makes it off limits to humans in my view. We're just too damn stupid to make choices like that.

Apparently since people with previous murder convictions are just walking around on the streets these days. Killing more people. Robbing Kohls and shooting cops.

My opinion is still my opinion. Nothing is foolproof, oh well..

And why shouldn't he be allowed to? Just that, he should file his case only AFTER getting out. Otherwise, it'll negatively affect his case. I studied law for some time, I should know.
