Oh boy, THAT TRANSFORMATION SCENE is bloody fabulous, and so Utena.

I'm 100% sold on the trailer. This show is going to be incredible.

I for one am glad to see a show this flamboyant and over the top. Gives the show a unique identity and definitely makes it stand out amongst the other shows this fall (Which actually looks like the first decent season in a while). Love the transformation sequence, and I'm liking that Miyano Mamoru is using his Tamaki voice for Takuto. Makes me wish Sengoku Basara 2 would end so tihs could start!

As far as mecha shows this season go, this is definitely a lot more promising in my opinion then SRW OG: The Inspector, but then agian, I just like original productions/BONES, and I'm not the biggest Masami Obari fan either so...

I wonder if you'll be saying the same thing after seeing that a thousand times. I hope that won't happen. Anime is too gay for me. Even the mecha's do poses

If he watched Utena, I'm sure he is more than used to recycled footage.

I don't know, I've never seen Utena hehe. Is it that bad (reused animation wise)? Come on Watanabe do another anime and bring manliness back to the world of anime. Please I beg of you. This gay shit has to stop!!

Speaking of Utena I've been wondering why the director of that series hasn't done directing wise since that series. He's done some stuff for some series like storyboarding and doing the OP for Nodame Cantabile and Aoi Hana but that's pretty much it. Some of the Utena crew are working here would have been interesting if the Director of Utena was also working on it. Last time the crew of Utena worked on a series without him we got The Melody of Oblivion which was like a crappy version of Utena. Hope this series doesn't turn out like that...

Yeah Ikuhara hasn't been working on any new anime for a long time. But he has spent the last few years launching a new series called Nokemono and Hanayome which started as an illustrated novel, and is now also a manga series. He also mentioned in his blog that he's overseeing a new anime series right now, although he doesn't mention if he is directing it. If he is, it could well be an anime adaptation of Nokemono and Hanayome. We should hear more details next year.

Young Gangan No.18 came out today in Japan. It contains the first chapter of the Star Driver manga. Since the manga is an adaptation of the anime, like Heroman was, it should give us a very good idea of what to expect from the first episode or so storywise. I wonder how long it will take for complete scans of the chapter to pop up...

I'm not sure why, but the trailer made me more interested in trying this now lol. aybe it's all that FABULOUS everyone keeps bringing up XD. Strangely enough, I'm not very sold on Miyano Mamoru as Takuto, despite me having liked his previous roles.

... boy am I glad that magical boy transformation didn't involve the usual nudity that tends to accompany these types of transformation scenes lol.

I didn't mind the stock footage in Utena, except for them constantly reusing her final attack. Maybe it's still too much to ask of the super robot genre but I hope they cut down on the stock footage during actual fights.

This is Bones, so it merits a free trial period. I must confess though, the character designs really leave me cold.
