I swear that the makers must have reaped huge profits when they released this game.....they came up with 3 DLCs already! Though I wonder why there is no Noire previews shown given that she's the most popular tsundere in the game.

And where is Blanc's preview? Dammit what is wrong with Compile Heart? Why isn't that loli goddess featured? I demand justice!

Btw, the Asia version (English subs with Japanese voice) will be released in Feb.

Are u sure it's in eng subs only, it says english language, so wouldn't that be dub?

It is not adapted into an anime.....yet. From what I know it is a hit in Japan - especially Noire with her tsundere normal form and yangire goddess form. You gotta love that super-heavy executioner blade, or she'll use it on you while dicing you up.

Interesting fact : Both Leanbox and Ruwii's goddesses are actually different versions of the alcoholic drink Absinthe. No wonder they contribute to the game's popularity (I mean, look, one is a well-endowed bishoujo while the other is a loli!)

Console war moe anthropomorphisation RPG Hyperdimension Neptunia‘s English language release is apparently considered a little too raunchy for corpulent Walmart shoppers, as even some tame cleavage exposure finds itself expunged from the cover.

The cover may have changed for the worse, but Japanese gamers seem quite envious of the plethora of extras available with the premium edition of the game:

The game is due February 9th in the US and march 4th in Europe.

The game itself is something of an odd choice for localisation – its characters and settings are all parodies of the war between the current generation of consoles, and they draw heavily upon the intensely hostile console rivalries fought out on 2ch’s gaming hardware boards, none of which is likely to be understood by most Japanese, let alone an international audience…

However, the game was nonetheless well received in Japan and boasts gorgeous art and good graphics – it may be necessary to heed the old adage about not judging a book by its cover.

The game is simplistic and pretty normal by standards. But what made it so popular?

Yep. The girls. We have genki, tsundere, gamer-chick and loli goddesses, as well as a kuudere, dojikko, utahime, flat-chested superhero, and THREE loli sidekicks, and one of them is a red-haired lesbian!

And two of the goddesses are named after the alcoholic drink Absinthe, the tsundere goddess' transformation quotes are all borrowed from Japanese pop-culture (most of the battle cries ARE borrowed), the gamer chick has boobs at the size of torpedo warheads, the main goddess' 3rd form goes in line with the VA's flagship character!

And not to mention, the main antagonist is hawt. How could anyone not resist buying this game?

Wait till you start playing the game. The characters are so irresistibly cute that you want to keep playing just to look at them.
