He has now, in this poll. Doubt it'd ever happen in one of the official ones though. Apparently the gap in votes between Ed and Roy is a considerable one, even though they're only one position apart.

Yeah. Ed has something like twice as many votes as Roy in most polls.

Which is sad. I personally think Roy is just as great a character as Ed is, and I don't get why he's so underrated in Japan. In the manga and Brotherhood, anyways.

Probably because FMA is a shonen manga, and Roy is, well, not a "shonen"!

Or maybe fans want to console Ed on his lack of height...

Underrated? Dude, he's second place, and has always been! He's as unmovable as Ed! Scar always may the tie with the author

At the 11th place.

The hero always has an headstart in any series. The fact that Ed is so high is a testimony to Arakawa's talent. Look at Naruto. The main character can't even reach the top 3!

Well didn't help the Roy vs Ed battle since I voted for both

Definitely a series where it's tough to cut down to 3 or 4 picks. Ended up going with Ed, Roy, Winry, and Hughes.

I started reading FMA comics since, like, five or six years ago, and these three have always stayed in my top list.

Edward - probably the only main character who I don't hate and enjoy to see in picture and action.

Roy - He is simply cool and funny, to be short he is aweasome.

Riza - Probably my most favourite character in whole series (both 1st season and 2nd) I still can't stop laughing every time I watch moments with her and Roy in the rain and when she had taken in Hayate, poor dog

And she is also cool.

Izumi - do I need to explain? She simply kicks a lot of major asses

Lust - mostly liked her in 1st seasons since she was further developed but she also had great fight with Havoc and Roy in 2nd. And I loved how Gluttony cared about her^^

Envy - simply like him even though he is a bastard^^

Wrath - didn't like him as Pride in 1st season but he is purely aweason in 2nd season and kicks a lot of butts.
