New Gundam series! (DAMN! it's not a anime -_-)

OMG finally it's starting to appear!
Quote:
Gunota Headlines:

Details of the long rumored Gundam series by Harutoshi Fukui, author of Lorelei and Aimless Aegis novels, will start to appear in the next issue of Gundam Ace. It will likely have info on character designer, mecha designer, main character, and Gundam setting. The story is set to debut this winter on Gundam Ace.

That would be Gunota. If that souce came from them, it should be pretty accurate.

Please keep in mind that this is NOT a series, but a novelization. I'm actually looking forward to this since I read a couple excerpts of his previous novels. I'm guessing that this will probably start running in the January issue which should hit the stands in the end of November. =D

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

That's a shame...

But still, I love to read it if it ever gets translated and published in North America. Doesn't really hurt for one to hope, right?

Chances of that will probably be slim to none considering the fact that most of the manga running in Gundam ACE is non-existent here. The only one that is licensed for release from Gundam ACE is Ecole du Ciel. And, this is a novel, so... *adds another strike*

In an old interview, didn't the author of that novel mentioned that he'd like to see an animation based on it for Gundam's anniversary? Gunota's article even called it the "next-next Gundam series"...

Yes, but that was a "hypothetical" I would like to see this happen with no indication that it will happen. Who knows... if this novel does well, there may be an anime based on it.

If you read the interview, the director even said that he did that "Gundam Fight 14" thing at the end as an homage to things like the olympics. There won't be another series, ever.

^ Woot, I guess I am right then. I didn't believe it would be a brand new series at all, as that would have made little sense. I mean, ditching CE aka money-milking-tree-machine right now for a brand new franchise? Nah...

Even if the novelisation starts on November, and since it's a hopeful for the 30th Anniversary Gundam series ((0079 started on 1979, so let's assume anime starts on October 2009 )) , there'd be only like....50 chapters of the novel released by then. And of course, 12 chapters during the duration of the year the anime is airing. Unless Fukui is going to chunk out enough material per chapter to fit a single episode monthly, I highly doubt there'll be enough material for 50 episodes of anime.

I suppose an anime adaption would also depend on how well the actual novel volumes sell.

Or whether or not it will be serialized in the end.

There are character designer, illustrator and mecha designer(s) alongside the author for the novel serialization.

Gundam Sentinel is one good example of novelizations of some sort.

WhiteWings:To this day I don't know what the insanity behind the decision to release the first GSD ending. My God that was without a doubt the worst ending I had ever seen in my life in a anime series.
Blizzer: He already has special powers called super pheromone powers which makes him irresistable to Sekirei's in heat.
