Except that Imagine Breaker is not a magic or supernatural power, so the great dictionary of magic tomes shouldn't be able to explain it.

I'm talking about her statements that 'fortune' = God's protection, not his power ^^;

Well, Touma's description was a little out there, especially to someone from the church: "destroy even a miracle from God" or whatever. God's supposed to be all-powerful or something, doncha know.

You have to call it something, though, so why not "supernatural power"?

Well according to the To Aru Majutsu no Index wiki Touma's power can cancel magic, psychic and divine powers.

From the explaination of magic and esper powers these are powers which is both artificial.

All espers start at Level 0. While magic is something for normals to achieve power.

Divine may be something else.

I really like this series. it nice to see for a change that the main lead ( Touma) uses strategy and tactic like MxO 'sTaiga to beat his opponents and his personality is quite "normal" or laid back than most shonen leads.

the lead　in a spin-off manga,Toaru Kagaku no Railgun.

I heard she is called thundere(a word coind for thunder and tsundere).I wish she would flourish in this anime.

Do hope that the middle school shocker can play a good role in this . First episode was good at hinting why she reached that kind of popularity. A good enough job to get me reading that spin-off.

At least from the preview we know she will be around in the next episode.

Actually, I believe a more common nickname is ツンデレールガン (tsundere+railgun, using the last katakana for tsundere and first katakana for railgun to connect).

She won't be playing a good role for a while... For quite a while...

Personally, I don't think the first episode gave a good hint at why she got popular. All she did was attack and shout at Touma, after all. Characters don't get popular just acting violent (well, most...).

Just a random appearance with Kuroko, I bet. Though better than not appearing...
