it is ironic because it was Republicans who push for Party-Neutral redistricting.

Boehner attacks tea party groups as House approves budget deal
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politi...3-f2bb96304e34
Quote:
Calling the groups “misleading” and without “credibility,” Boehner pointed to the string of bipartisan deals that passed the House on its last legislative day of 2013 as the sort of “common ground” that should provide a new path for congressional work.
Why starting only now, he helped those nutjobs for years and he start talking against them now.
Or we could simply wonder if he just growed some balls ( or simply a brain) in just a few weeks.

He didn't think they were actually crazy enough to let the country burn to suit their needs. Allowing the government to shut down proved they were, in fact, crazy enough to do that. Thus, he woke up.

Eh, I have a more cynical opinion. He's just playing politics as usual. He thought the hardline tea party stonewall style was going to appeal to a majority of the republican base… but it didn't, so now he's changing course. No actual pragmatism or "doing the right thing" involved.

Isn't a behavior a bit too petty for a guy wanting to get elected US president, even on the republican ticket ?

Given Christie's unwillingness to listen to contrary opinion or take input, I'm guessing his bubble of sycophancy got too thick. He has no one but 'yes men' around him. Couple that with moral vacuum about law and protocol and you've got minions doing things without telling you to protect you --- and one of their antics explodes.

The landscape was his creation if not the direct order. Still, I'm also reminded of Nixon and his petty nature versus the office he held.

Arizona lawmakers pass bill to allow faith-based refusal of services
http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/...A1K06M20140221
Quote:
House Minority Leader Chad Campbell, a Democrat who opposed the measure, called it "state-sanctioned discrimination" that clearly targets members of the gay community.

"We're telling them, 'We don't like you,'" Campbell said, during a heated floor debate. "'We don't want you here. We're not going to protect you, we don't want your business, we don't want your money and we don't want your kind around here.'"

We do things backwards in the U.S. . First the idiot lawmakers pass a law and the supreme dude signs it. THEN we waste countless hours in court costs deciding if it was legal in the first place.

Supposedly, the concept of "committees" (made up of lawmakers) were a band-aid to filter out bullshit ... but the committees get stacked and the filter stops working.

"Arizona lawmakers gave final approval on Thursday to a bill that would allow businesses to refuse service to customers when such work would violate their religious beliefs"

It not to gays only, it to all people that will "violated" their religion. This as stupid as that Florida's law that ban any electronic device that can used for gambling.

Wall Street Republicans' dark secret: Hillary Clinton 2016
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/0...0.html?hp=t3_3
Quote:
The darkest secret in the big money world of the Republican coastal elite is that the most palatable alternative to a nominee such as Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas or Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky would be Clinton, a familiar face on Wall Street following her tenure as a New York senator with relatively moderate views on taxation and financial regulation.
“If it turns out to be Jeb versus Hillary we would love that and either outcome would be fine,” one top Republican-leaning Wall Street lawyer said over lunch in midtown Manhattan last week. “We could live with either one. Jeb versus Joe Biden would also be fine. It’s Rand Paul or Ted Cruz versus someone like Elizabeth Warren that would be everybody’s worst nightmare.”

Politics is just a puppet show to keep the herd (us to use the biblical sheep analogy) under control and distracted from truth, so IMO, it's best to view them as obstacles in life as we learn to 'wake up' and realize WTF is really going on and why. If you've seen any of Prof Sutton's old books/vids on Youtube etc, you realize the same BS is being played out as usual. The same pattern everytime, which is why it doesn't matter which politician is put on the throne in this puppet show... which is actually more like The Wizard of Oz.... with the Wizard being the oligarchy that controls both parties anyway, and since the 80s and 90s, have made sure no real independent gets in office... not that it would really matter these days anyway, as they've changed all the laws to give themselves all the cash and all the power... in preparation for the NWO.... GPS, global police state... in which GPS systems and everyone's mobile connections help track them... gotta keep control of the herd.... which is what the govts/ religions/media/business etc are for.... crowd management... occassional thinning of the herd through war and disease.... but Mother Nature looks to do her cyclical cleansing pattern soon enough this year, so they are in a hurry... if they can't control it, then create enough chaos so that no one can and in the meantime, rape and pillage the economy even as the oligarchy prepares to 'pull the rug out' and reset the game... and they are in a hurry these days as Mother Nature looks to move in soon enough... just check all the EM field related activity... not to mention the comets etc.

Oh well, in the meantime we have the usual puppet show in DC and the EU to look forward to... the same pattern Prof Sutton mentions .... what we are doing in Ukraine is the same as we did in Russia in the 90s... same as we did in Germany with the Nazis, same as we did in Russia with the Bolsheviks... history repeats its lessons until we each wake up.... and when it gets too messed up, Mother Nature cleans it up and pushes the reset button.

Watch What You Say, The New Liberal Power Elite Won’t Tolerate Dissent:

"The new liberal ruling elite, a mix of academics and cultural powerbrokers, is like the
old clerical orders—wielding it’s wealth and power to enforce “truths” and punish
dissenters."

South Dakota Republican Party Passes Resolution Calling For Obama's
Impeachment:

"The South Dakota Republican Party passed a resolution on Saturday calling for the
impeachment of President Barack Obama.

Delegates at the party's annual convention in Rapid City voted 191-176 in favor of
the measure, which claims that the president has "violated his oath of office in
numerous ways," according to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

Specifically, the resolution cited the trade of five Taliban detainees for U.S. Army
soldier Bowe Bergdahl, as well as Obama's much-maligned campaign promise that
people would be able to keep their existing health insurance under the Affordable
Care Act and a recent EPA proposal that would curb emissions from coal power
plants."
