Marimite Trading Cards (for collectors only)
Hi, I am creating this thread for communication between marimite trading cardscollectors (I can forsee that we will have a lot to talks about it, showcasing/swapping/trading/etc ).
Marimite trading cards should be out last weekend. Did anyone receive any shipping confirmation from animaxis/yesasia? I would also like to hear from those who live in Japan. |

If she ordered them from Animaxis, she may already have them. We got an order from them before and got the package the very next morning (after it being sent) but we live in Alaska, US. I'm don't know where she lives.
But YesAsia actually had the better offer. If you take free shipping you save 8$ from the price that Animaxis was selling them at (+shipping for 2 boxes). I was going to order from Animaxis first until I compared the carts. If I ever find our scanner cord I can scan all the cards I get for you guys. |

I got my cards today!! I got 2 boxes from YesAsia.
(sorry I still don't have my scanner cord so I will explain things. ^_~) Firstly the box is very pretty nice enough to put on your shelf of Marimite collection It has shades of cornflower/powder/sky blues on the cover is the Lillian 'L' icon with: LA VIERGE MARIE VOUS REGARDE under it, on the sides is a picture of a white ribbon and the lillian symbol and that text too. It's really pretty and am going to save a box! Inside are 2 stacks of cards in pretty cornflower blue wrappers with all the text + symbol (really nice and like the box. not overly things to view. -_- Sorry I explain that poorly) Anyway on to the cards!!! Firstly, they are plastic!!! Not some cheap paper like baseball cards or something. There are 9 cards to each episode so they look really nice when you have them in protectors in a notbook. The backgrounds on the cards are different colors reapeated, the first 9=pink, 2nd 9=yellow third 9=blue, then repeated pink/yellow/blue 3 mnore times with the last 9 having pink backgrounds again. Each card has 2 pictures on the front and 2 on the back (they are in a row, top pic bottom pic) So each episode totals 36 pictures a piece. Also, there is no text on the cards!!! Which is good for non-japanese speakers. Except for what looks like episode numbers and titles. The borders also have a nice white ribbon design on the fronts. I think thjey look really nice!!! Also taped to the front of each card is a promo card (i'm not sure how many extras there are in total. i remeber they were mentioned elsewhere i'll try to find it) Quote:
;__; both of my cards were the same. since the number was shown on the outside too bad they didnt send me one of each The one i got no.2 had all 8 roses together in 2 rows with hologram background. It is a paper card. Also there were R(rare) cards they are plastic with prettu gold foil borders! Thet are pictures from the opening anime season 1. Then lastly I got some SP(Special cards) they are paper, and have hologram backgrounds. THEY ARE ORIGINAL ART!! The nicest one being (that I got ) was no. 009 which was an ariel view (camera high up and pointing down at) Sachiko and Yumi. Yumi has an excited look on her face with both hands stretching up towards the camera. Sachiko is beside whith her head resting on her open palm softly smiling off to someone over towards the left (Yumi is looking right at us ^__^) I think they were a good purchase and would reccomend anyone interested in Marimite and trading cards to try to get a set~1!! Oh also!!! I want to point out that one of the boxes I got had no double cards!!! The other had like 7 I think of others that were in the same box. But I had never gotten a box before that had NO doubles before that was a surprise! ^o^ Last edited by Sweets Yumi; 2004-08-02 at 23:53. |

I just received my cards. These cards are best to be stored in a card protector album with 3x3 slots per page, because the color of cards change every 9 cards.
Pros: - As Sweets Yumi said, the cards are high quality plastic cards. It can stand for years to come. - In the spirit of Marimite. The cards are full of pastel colors. Rare cards have "Salmon Pink" background color. SP cards are semi-holographic. Cons: - Expensive - Normal cards are nice, however the arts are simply screenshoots from the anime. - Bad card distribution. I have the same fate with Sweets Yumi. - 9 SP Cards with only 2 cards given per box? Ouch. Here is an example of SP card #006 PS: On second thought, 50 dpi is simply too small. I decide to change it to 75dpi |

I don't think Animaxis is, but yesasia says 'available within 30 days' http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.asp.../section-toys/ Thats what it said when SleeplessHeart ordered hers and I think they found them fairly quick for her. ^___^ |

Heya. Been a lurker of these parts for a bit and have been enjoying all the threads about Maria-Mite so far. Now I've decide to join the fun because I too got some (actually plenty) of spares and would like to trade some cards as well.
I'll put up my list later but I'm dead keen on the rares you have Yumi. |

I noticed that out of all the boxes we have between us, NO ONE has ever gotten a PROMO: 1 !!!
I wonder if card dealers or other 'special' people like that, where the only ones that were given them? Like maybe one PROMO:1 to a case or something? Does anyone know for sure? Or is it just chance that none of us has gotten this card. |
