This is actually correct. The coin is also moving with the car. It is at rest relative to Misaka (and the car), so when you throw it directly upward it should fall back to where it was originally thrown from. Basically, the coin is also moving forward at the same speed as the car, so its trajectory as seen from an observer on the road/ground would be a parabola.

But wouldn't the air resistance slow down the coin a lot more then it would slow down Misaka? Because Misaka is attached to the car via magnetism and therefore her speed is always the same as the car, but the coin moving at the speed of the car is not attached and would therefore lose it's speed right?

They seem to hype this whole railgun thing. Misaka only uses coins which i assume is softer than a bullet and travels at 1000m/s, around the same speed as a bullet from an assault rifle. Why she even bothered dodging it or Misaka thinking it could destroyed/damage that mecha is beyond me. Seriously it cant do more than leave a dent.

Kiyama for maintaining that speed all the way. Mikoto for flipping a coin perfectly vertical. Wouldn't a slight error in either cause the coin to go off track?

If you are sweating buckets over the car, wait till you try to explain how did TWO RAILGUN SLUGS connecting head-on turn into a KAMEHAMEHAAA competition rather than an outright explosion...
Which does prove that Misaka's "Railgun" is no railgun, but some kind of plasma lance, unless the warhead used does not disintegrate easily, like that robo-arm.

A question about Misaka's Railgun, a conventional railgun is generally accelerating a conductive projectile along two metal rails, or rather, it's muzzle. Railguns therefore are favored since they allow for much higher muzzle velocities, since the railgun is acceleration all until it leaves the muzzle, whereas Misaka's simply flies. Is she manipulating the magnetic fields all along the coins path to constantly accelerate it like she can do with the iron-sand, or is it just a burst of some kind? |

I hope that someday all villains can do the explanation and operation at the same time. She could easily win by just pushing little enter button in front of her. Of all things, she decided to stop and played with Misaka instead when Misaksa told her to stop. Hmm... But her over expression was really annoying. It was good that she finally shut her mouth.
By the way, can Accel reflect Kuroko's ability?
