Heh - that OP makes it totally obvious that it's from the same composer/arranger that did all the K-On! vocal music, also produced by the same TV station. Tons of energy and... a good amount of fanservice.

Anyway, looking forward to watching the episode proper.

Not seen anything to do with this show whatsoever, so it's a clean slate - I'm looking forward to seeing what Episode 1 brings

I think the ED makes a good job, pretty dinamic. Still can't find a link to post it here... I have the whole episode but... don't wanna and I hate editing D:.

Episode 1 went in great details with Kodaka and Yozora's first interactions, although it basically got a slow pace as result (wanted a way bit more verbal jousting between Sena and Yozora), but aside, a good pilot, although I think some people will have weird expectations, likening it to Haruhi while it has really nothing to do with the latter.

Production values wise, it is very strong as expected from AIC with what we have seen so far, so we might have a stable rendition like what they did for the first season of Sora no Otoshimono.

The music department is nothing extraordinary or mediocre, although some choices were good/weird at times.
Still, even listening to a full episode, Inoue just can't click on me regarding Yozora, even during the bickering, same for Itou... oh well, Kodaka is however fully okay now (No Hanakana this week ;_; )

Next week will be the good stuff though :]

Inoue got horribly miscast for Yozora. Her voice doesn´t fit the character at all.

Better than what I expected. Fanservice wasn't throw to our face all that much and loved Sena and Yozora fight. But I agree with others that Marina's voice may not be the more suitable for that kind of character. Will get use to it eventually though.
And the main character? A bit transparent, which isn't bad.

Midonin Last Engage Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Florida	Spoiler for BokuTomo 01 - Back and Forth/Up and Down: This looks like a light, character-driven comedy. Right up my alley. Except that with the thread's length and the fans being so watchful and protective, it's kind of frightening. I know very little about this, haven't read a page of material nor seen the OVA, so here's hoping. And like most first episodes, not a whole lot of laughs just yet, mostly premise building. It's a rather simple idea that's flexible to a wide variety of storylines, so that bodes well for the future. The show looks nice enough, and the OP and ED (I know that Tom H@ck did stuff for K-ON!, and I get that same sort of feeling from the music here) are pretty dynamic, and Yozora and Sena look to be another fun pair to watch play off each other. Perfect foils. I'll glean a bit more from the subs, but my Japanese is enough that I got the gist of the first episode. Good stuff. Now if I can shake that feeling of intense watchfulness that's still permeating through me, things should be okay.
