Specifically, who would you like for your president/prime-minister/Emperor/Supreme-leader/Chief? Who would you appoint to the cabinet? Why?

This idea came up when I pondered on 20+year debate of Yan Wen Li or Rheinhart von Lohengram. For me, I would like Yan Wen Li for my 5 Star Fleet Admiral and Rheinhart for my Secretary of Defense or President. Of course you began thinking about other names like Zhuge Liang, Hakuoro, and Lelouch, so any good or funny ideas?

Well, I picked Lelouch because he's able to see the "big picture", so to speak. And he's one hell of a political (and military) strategist.

I thought L was an obvious choice. And I definitely wasn't going to pick Light for ANY position, not matter how smart he is.

I am all for separation of Church and State in real world, but there is no reason why we can't have religious minister in the dream world. In fact, I believe many army has chaplains and there is a rank within chaplains, so something like head chaplain would not be out of place in real world.

We also need to consider posts like Surgeon General, Chief Justice, and Minister of Culture. If you look in various world, there are other interesting cabinet names like minister of tourism or minister of Mountains, to name a few, and the always important Propaganda minister. Also we don't need it to be presidential, why not monarchy or British system or even old Cold-war era Kremlin?

Keep in mind it depends on what country's system you're basing it off of. I personally used the US system and tweaked it to me liking. My Department of Justice more-or-less fills the requirement for any "Chief Justice" figure. But maybe a Department of Culture is in order for mine... I'll think about it then mod my post.

The Dictatorship of A.N.I.M.E

In my anime country, there are four regular branches of government, and one branch devoted entirely to the military. It is the final branch that fulfills a duty much like that of the president during a crisis, or war.

A few notes:

The president provides the leadership
The Vice president aids in the presidents weak points.
The Executive handles any of the "small details", as well as publicity.

Foreign Affairs:
