extending the suffering of little girls for an entire season might be considered by some as fanservice.
Elfen Lied come to mind...

Quote:
The closest thing to fanservice for casual viewers are the yuri subtexts between Sayaka and Kyoko, as well as Madoka and Homura.
Fanservice it may be, but yuri subtexts are often to be found in MG series, mostly those that deal primarily with female cast. That's pretty much inevitable. In PMMM, all the girls seem straight per se... but there's only one eligible male their age highlighted as hanging around, and he comes off as pretty oblivious to love so far... Not that it's a serious point, but that's where fanservice is BOUND to sprout.

Quote:
Oh, forgot to mention Homura's hair flicking. What fanservice indeed!
But it counts as fridge brilliance as well.

Heh. Good of them to take action, if they want to see the episodes when they originally air instead of waiting.

TBS broadcast gives hope for a HD version of the completed ep10 that was streamed on Nico.

Instead, the viewers get a show of gloomy, dark, and serious nature. Everything is kept simple and minimalistic to retain a depressing aura about the show.

I still think Shaft could have sold a lot of junk the way Madoka is now, but they chose not to exploit their own success for piles of yen.
I am reminded of this fanart.

Too good to be true. ;P

If Madoka gets a VN, I shall play as Homura-chan.

Cue Walpurgis Night!

Evidently, some people are unaware of the internet.

Now here's what would be really cool:

A QB spinoff manga, and parody of Oishinbo. Within, QB and friends will discuss the proper ways to properly prepare delicious souls/recovered grief seeds, detailing the various methods with which they have honed their trade.

QB will come across as quite the failure if he doesn't manage turn Madoka's soul into a very delicious grief seed.

Madoka's debut position is almost symbolic.

You know, I just realized it's a pity in multiple ways that they couldn't get eps11 and 12 aired on the 15th. Not only would it have shortened the wait for the finale, the date has meaning for the show. The Walpurgis fight takes place late 14th/early 15th April. You can practically imagine them happening during the episode's airing! If only they had managed to air on the 15th...

It is. However he is referring to the date of Walpurgisnacht's arrival in Mitakihara within the series; episode ten shows that Homura joins Madoka's class on the 25th, a Friday specifically (and the only month on the 2011 calendar with 31 days with the 25th falling on a Friday is March). Following this, if you count out the days within the series (and consider Homura's statement of Walpurgisnacht being two weeks away in episode 6), its arrival is somewhere around the 14th/15th of April.

At least, that's what I've heard being tossed around, I think. Seems way overspeculative to me, but there's no reason to discount it.

The original airing date (March 17) was somewhat close... but with the following postponements, I doubt they cared anymore, EVEN IF they had originally aimed for something lke that...

Even if that kind of overspeculation has any relevance whatsoever, it is unlikely they made any effort to plan it that way. An airing date falling close to the 14th/15th would have just been a coincidence.

As long as we get to play as Kyuubey wandering around trying to trip flags and make contracts, I'm on board.

I'm scared to see what the narration of the story from his perspective would be like, if this came true.
