No, but different groups subtitled the first season, none of which signed up for season two. WeSuck and ShadowDreams usually released new episodes within a week or two of its being aired in Japan, so the contrast in pace of release between the seasons has been pretty dramatic.

S2 has not been subbed and probably never will be.

I'm not sure what you mean by "subbed" here. There are definitely subs for this show. I think you meant you doubt it will be "licensed" in R1, which is probably the case.

There are two R1 DVDs available from the first season. Disc 3 was supposed to be released in December, but Geneon had closed up shop in the US by then. It's listed as "unavailable" at RightStuf. Unless someone takes over the license from Geneon, we probably won't ever see the rest of season one on DVD in R1. If season one remains incomplete, no one will license season two.

This isn't meant as nagging, but could some representatives of the various groups working on season two give us an update on where things stand? It would be nice to know you're still out there and working on completing this show.

It's obviously 100% spoilers stuff but it way better than waiting for an hypothetic saison 3 of Saiunkoku which will happen in 3-4 years minimum.

I doubt my "nagging" had anything to do with it, but thanks to all our intrepid subbers for another round of SaiMono 2 releases. I'm a fan of the Eigetsu/Kourin romance so episodes 13 and 14 were a big hit here.

Kourin is such a silly girl at times, at least when it comes to her feelings for Eigetsu. All those tongue-lashings she gives him are her way of saying "I love you," I guess. Maybe she'll say the real thing soon.

With have plenty of time before any saison 3 so waitiing for subs of saison 2 is not that bad either.
From the summary of Book 13 there are enough materials for at least 5-7 Ep because there will be plenty of flash back stuff from the gaiden books

Geneon did manage to release season one disk 3 in Europe but not in America. I wanted to buy it, but unfortunatly I live in the U.S. and don't have any euros and the site I saw it on (I linked from amazon)....didn't ship to the U.S.

Animanda and C1 are going to try to speed it up. It´s mostly my fault since there are episodes translated and I´ve been too busy timing them. You can always check Animanda´s forum for an update on how we´re doing.

I see there have been a couple of releases i really miss this series i just think it is beautifully written and animated and of course I love Shuurei and but i need more Shunki too. I think ill sit down and check the most recently subbed episodes.

I was pleasantly surprised to tune in to animesuki one day and found new episodes out, tuned in another day and found yet more new episodes out. It's like, whoa, is this Christmas?
