Sigh... Miku took her obnoxious bitch mode to the next level. Even more so when she found out that "Shiori" is actually a guy Shidou, that was when she touched his dong. Or should I say, to the ultimate level. She made the whole city want him dead, literally.

And of course, our favorite girl, Kurumi is back~! Oh how I miss her so much. Her obsession of Shidou is high as ever. Not to mention she even knew that Shidou crossdressed as Shiori and teased him to try on Miku's bra, which also made him go dere-dere.

Aahh... Kurumi's background music sounds erotic. It's like watching a soft porn whenever she's around with Shidou. God damn, were they funding their budgets all along for this?

PS: Miku's reaction to "Shiori's" real gender was hilarious. And that was what pulled her pin there.

Shidou has the spirits' power within him which make him immune. Likewise the spirits fell prey to Miku because they didn't have their powers at the time Miku turned everybody.

Except that Tohka was still wearing the ear-plugs, and thus wasn't affected by Miku's control. Probably the Gabriel's power controls people and spirits alike by sound. Or maybe those who affected were witnessing her? Cause Reine wasn't affected. So as Origami and Mana.

Kurumi, on the other hand, is a twisted existence. So Gabriel barely has an effect on her as well.

More like sounds and Mana level in their body. Shidou has at least 5 Spirits worth of Mana while other Spirits only have less than 10% of their power.

Considering the amount of Mana Shidou took away from 5 spirits, which contained the major fraction of the full power each. Well that would explain why Shidou was immune to Gabriel's influence.

And that means Shidou gets yummier for Kurumi.

Shinji I want to point out that, in episode 5 she tried to mind-control the cross-dressing Shidou, but she, failed when it was shown he resisted it, so were on that part, but you are right on her righting Shidou dead for messing with her

Hm, true I did forget about that. But I would think that she'd be putting a lot more power into her mind control after finding out Shidou tricked her, just from simple anger.
Unless how much power she puts into her mind control doesn't actually affect its effectiveness.

This has been explained before but to sum it up Shidou has the power of 5 spirits within him so he has a protection against certain spirit powers just as he was unaffected by Kurumi's city of devouring.

Likewise Kurumi is a spirit with her full power so she also has this protection, as for the other spirits they were taken control of when they were in a state of being sealed so they didn't have any resistance nor could they remove the affect once it was place even if they drew back some of their spirit power afterwards.

And last when Tohka was unaffected by the mind control due to the ear plugs she drew some of her power back so in turn gaining resistance against the mind control even after removing the earplugs.

tl;dr
As long as they have spirit power they are not affected by Miku's mind control but if they are human or a sealed spirit that's not in limit break form they will fall victim to the spirit's power.

Actually I knew all that.

I was working under the assumption that Shidou doesn't have complete protection/immunity. For example, even at full strength the spirits aren't immune to powers like Kurumi's Bullet abilities.
I guess that just doesn't hold for all spirit abilities though.

It's great to finally have everyone's favorite girl Kurumi back. The way she teased him while in the mansion was just perfect.

Another great scene was Miku realizing Shiroi's real gender. Her reaction was just perfect.

Yeah that's why I said some spirit powers for example they may be immune to most debuffs but if hit by an offensive ability they'll still take damage.

I totally think Origami would joined first but Mana is unexpected

Mana should be the one who stole this episode... but a certain girl showed up and make this episode become the best episode in this DAL II so far

Not sure if you're talking only about the BGM or story as well. But as for the story, I felt the opposite for the Yamai twins arc, they bored me so much, DAL2 didn't get interesting for me until Miku appeared.

That was pretty low and blameworthy from Miku's doing tampering with Shido's trio gang. Obviously, Miku's such a pompous, sore loser to achieve whatever ends suit her preferences without any qualms.
Fortunately, just so happen for Shiori's fortune that Kagura and Yuzuru were top mark bassist and drummer, and just so happens that Tohka performed with an enthusiastic and cute song.
Take that Miku-b***h.

On the other hand, Origami scored top marks messing DEM's operation at Tengu Square and shooting down all those DEM b****es by herself, and yet the episode ended with Origami forced into a danegrous predicament against the DEM.

And, yes, I do not forget about Kurumi's cameo, which means this arc is heading towards an event of epic proportions.
