I thought the OP was E-P-I-C. Very artistic too with the bright yet quiet academy city backgrounds. The animation looks a lot refreshing than the first Index II OP too.
Touma = Bishie is totally fine with me and I'm not gay.

I must admit, I didn't know what to expect when I first heard that scratchy sample some weeks ago... Mainly because it wasn't as 'action-packed' as I was used to from Kawada Mami.

But fortunately my worries were unfounded as this OP turned out to be as good as the previous, especially in terms of animation- While I'm still getting used to the song, the animation and choreography of the scenes that hit the right notes

Everything I wanted to see was pretty much there and [GROUP] was a damn good teaser (

)... Except of course- Where's mah Black Wings?!

If they somehow include all the chars in the OP that play a role and already appeared (Awaki :3) then might as well already put them together as GROUP.

絶体絶命の一方通行の前に現れたインデックス。

猟犬部隊に追われる二人の前に、ローマ正教上層部”神の右席”の魔術師、
前方のヴェントが姿を現す。

学習装置（テスタメント）
猟犬部隊を追い詰める一方通行。
統括理事会からの命令で打ち止めが捕らえられたことを察した彼は、

一方、はぐれた打ち止めを探す当麻の前にまたもヴェントが立ちはだかった。
激戦が始まるかと思われた時に、ヴェントはその場を離れる。

That sounds about right, 3 episodes for vol 12 was how I predicted it, and with the remaining 5 for vol 13, they don't have any excuse not to do a good job...

I'm not surprise, the light hearted setting for (most of) vol 12 makes it easy to randomly toss in snippets and it wouldn't confuse the viewers.

Correction on one of my earlier statements though, as it turns out vol 13 had 5 chaps instead of the usual 4, so 5 episodes might be just right...

Seems they changed Vento's costume a bit. The thorn looking fabric was supposed to cover more of her head piece.

Actually it was supposed to be revealed in the [Book of the Law] arc so it's no big secret, and yes 'Edward Alexander' is the real name of Aleister Crowley, a quick wiki search under Aleister's name or the real life 'Book of the Law' would tell you that

Coincidence? I strongly doubt it, the Author knew what he was doing when he brought up that book.

The Book is said to bring about the end of Christianity... Well, in the anime anyway, probably not in real life

This is a little out of topic but, in real life The Book of Law is something more like a diary that Crowley wrote recording his "talks" with Aiwass and the teachings that the entity passed down to him.
