I like it so far. Very much in the tone of the first 10 volumes or so of the original. Pretty much a given that this (and Mix) will get anime sooner or later.

I really hope so. Although with Mix current pace I guess it won't be soon.

I haven't been this tense reading a chapter for a long a time. I was thinking to myself "They can't have killed Hikaru... can they?" But you know, it is Major so it could have happened (I guess if it was an Adachi's manga I would be more worried even) but in the end it is just a transfer, which I guess would be cancelled soon enough. By the way, didn't Toshi have a girlfriend during the original series? I can only remember his sister now...
