Regarding about my cancelled flights, I filed an 'e-form' to them yesterday and they called me earlier today (didn't receive it through, since I was working at that time).

Most peoples said that they provide 3 options for those affected by this...
Spoiler for Options:

I chose the 2nd option. Now just have to wait their second call...

After days of communication with AirAsia's customer service staff, the case about my cancelled Narita flight was solved, with 'bittersweet' ending ...

Here's the 'actual' options they gave me to choose...
Spoiler for Part of the e-mail:

In the end, I chose to get credit shell, I was already tired to contact with them again, during that time.

And I received the credit shell this morning, which expires on Feb. 2016. Still not sure how to use it (book another JP flight / plan a family trip to somewhere else)..

Still quite bummed that they didn't let me to change the flight to Haneda . Next time better save some more money to board full-service airlines (Hearing that ANA, Cathay Pacific & EVA Air's services are excellent) instead....

Between Kanto area or Kinki/Kansai area, which is the more advised area to visit (less affected by the rainy season) on late May-early June or early-mid June? I'm considering to redeem a flight (with the refunded stored credit) on that period...

Thanks to the typhoon no 18, I've been drenched wherever I go.

But it really depends on the storm's path. The typhoon was at Gifu yet Kanto was flooded while Kansai was relatively clear although you could see the wall of storms in the distance

Really want to visit Japan. First I want to get a decent handle on the language. Same goes for China and Mandarin. Beautiful and fascinated places.

Same here, but I'm struggling to make much progress, even though I meet up very other week with a study group with several naitive speakers.

Words of advice.

Watch some videos on what NOT to do in Japan.

A few examples...

1: Don't give tips at restaurants. To them it feels like you're telling them they're too poor to handle it without your money.

2: Don't bow. It's not necessary. You don't need to bow if you bump into someone, you can talk to them, if you know how to speak Japanese. Or just say sorry and walk it off. They at least need to know what sorry means nowadays. Bowing is probably only for when you're begging someone for assistance or when you cause some serious trouble and need to gain actual forgiveness.

3: Don't accept praise. They don't tend to accept it with words like "I worked so hard". They value modesty over accomplishments. If you want to accept praise, at least try to direct it towards a team, like someone saying "Good work", and you reply with "Yeah, our team really put out a lot of effort. They were great." You're a part of the team, so it keeps the praise on you, but also directs it towards others and shows some modesty, even if people are only complimenting you.

I have been to Japan once in last spring It was great! Japanese cuisine, many attractive destinations,...I enjoyed them.
Next 3 months, my friends and I are planning to go to Japan again. Now we are learning Japanese at a language center.

Does anyone dive (NAUI/PADI)? Are there any dive spots in Shikoku?

If it's diving in winter, you might want to try Okinawa instead, it's warmer there due to being further south and the ocean currents.

Does anyone know what is the taxi rate like in Shikoku per km? How does one call for a taxi at 4am in the morning?

Secured tix to Haneda earlier this morning, with the refunded credit + few more MYRs for next year's mid-October. Hope the similar things will not happen again within this period...

Heading to Japan mainly 'cause of Sapporo. Been wondering if there'll be a problem selling the extra manga I have to Book off stores 'cause I'm only visiting the country for a few days in terms of showing off ID.

Only thing I can think of is my passport.

UPDATE:

It's a bust. Someone from Book Off! told me that I need something with a Japanese-based address. Foreign passports are a no go.

All the photos I took in Sapporo in the Odori Street area.

Photos may look to be different since some are shown horizontally. Clicking on them and opening them on new windows should have them in the original position (aka photo taken vertically).
