How far are the subs behind the RAW releases? I was keeping up pretty well but it seems like episodes are far and inbetween. People are posting about episode 19 already i think the one I saw was 17

Ya i know i was kinda disapointed with this episode a bit, i thought the battle would be a lot longer, but the end of the episode between the meeting of Kazuma and Tsou Rin (lapis) and his shocked face was once again quite a good end. I am more interested in the preview where i hope it shows kazuma's past, and question:

The shadow in the screencaps, I know the guy is Kazuma obviously, but is the girl Tsou Rin or Ayano? I couldnt quite figure it out for myself.

That's Tsuo Rin, as judged by the hairstyle and the fact next episode focuses at Kazuma's past. And on a side note, that look of Kazuma at 24:13 just looks like he's gonna kill everyone who stands in the way (as said in preview)

As for the sub question, I beleive the sub of a episode is done once the next one comes out. So say ep 19 came out today, then 18 should be done around these days. Still, it may vary since those people do it in their free time--they don't have to sub it after all

I enjoyed ep19, but then again I regard this show as a guilty pleasure, so my standards are not high...

...and I'm not a big fan of fights anyway. I look forward to Kazuma getting to choose between his old girl friend and his new one, and choosing to save Ayano and destroy/liberate Lapis/Rin.

Well sub-wise Shinsen is the closest and shouldn't take long in getting to episode 18. Just got into watching the raws since for this serise I didn't feel like waiting. That and a lot of discussion comes out of the raws and wanted to be involved with that.

Well I guess one way to enjoy the series is not to be interested in the fights . That's been the weakest point at times so we shouldn't be all that surprised with Ayano and Lapis not being the best thing we've ever seen. Been more around the story being told.

Really interested in next week. Since it's not about fights persay but Kazuma's past and what he's going to do now. This is the most 'kill' look I've seen in his eyes this series so it should be pretty good that's for sure.

As for the fights... they have really been quite horrible. I think the onsen father-son fight deserves the title of worst choreographed and worst animated action sequence of the year. It's a bit surprising since even GONZO usually does much better.

At least they didn't use still pictures in their animation, it could had been much wrost. As for episode 16 I found the fight scene comical more than anything, just something to laugh at I suppose.

In all honestly, I was too busy gawking at Ayano in casual wear + yukata in order to care about the fight scenes in the onsen chapter. God, her casual wear was to die for IMO. ^^;

Also, at the point the summary says "Kazuma recognizes the Big Boss, and smirks at him, saying that who is he to stand against him when Kazuma has defeated and killed the Big Boss’s boss", Kazuma identifies the 'Big Boss' as VernHeart Rhodes when he recognizes him. It might help clear things up instead of all those "Big boss" words everywhere ^^;; Still, a good summary

Did you see the stupid powers these guys have been getting? Be grateful . We could throw in some pc vs mac stuff. Since I'm sure you'd never download a youma on a mac right? God those commercials can get annoying. Oh well those people had it coming, they literally asked to download one. People these days...

Unless there is some drastic shift yeah I'd say the battle animation has been scary bad. I mean sure they dumped a ton of budget into RomeoxJuliet but come on. The Kazuma vs his father fight was more comedy than action. Can't tell if they were trying to be serious or intentionally stupid there. At least we had Ayano, Yukari, and Nanase to make it worth watching .

I think the Kazuma-Father fight was intentionally more comedy than action. The whole feel of the episode was comic. To have those two fight for real would have been counter to the episode's tone.
