Ah, its good hearing some of the calm bgms again. A decent episode (7/10) again, can't expect too much. Only complaint is the side views of Saber look really weird and off.

Perfect once again from me, it being F/SN and all.

Some good Rider moments, even though there wasen't hat many - but judging from the preview there's battle Rider nexted week, yay.

And also, can't complain about seeing Saber eat! <3

"Ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances" is a convention that Hollywood has beaten to death -- at least for me. Anime creators are frequently expert at doing the polar opposite, extraordinary people in ordinary circumstances, which is my preference. It's one of the things I like best about anime. The seemingly banal, Saber eating, as grand concept.

I look forward to every bite, and I bet you and I aren't the only ones who look forward to Saber dining. I suspect what we saw in Episode 5 was a teaser, much like the Rider scenes.

Okay, some highlights:

Spoiler:

It's a good downtime episode. Shiro's sense of manhood won't allow him to be selfish.

I'm interested what Sakura, Fuji-nee and saber talked about durning the night that made her change her mind about letting Sabers tay.

Yes, but the Rider scene's in the preview for episode 06 were much more interesting - i can't see it happening, but i hope they don't mess up her up, after all there's a lot of hype around her.

Tragic, I recommend removing that post and putting it in the Game/Manga/Anime differences thread instead.

Rin gets a +10 in this episode for me. Not because more of her 'tsundere' personality coming out, but because she's finally starting to get her sense back (and for Archer doing that, he gets +10 as well). She might have helped Shirou before, but she's starting to get serious with the war.

Still, I find she's not serious enough yet. Considering her experience with magic, I don't think she would've missed Shirou after so many tries if she really wanted to hit him. Not to mention that if she really wanted to kill Emiya, why not get Archer to go in a nearby rooftop and snipe Shirou from afar? She KNOWS he's in school after all.

Methinks she's missing on purpose, and probably for the same reason why she saved/helped him in the first place. I know it's going to come in full force in the future, but I'm glad to see that Rin's internal dilemma is rearing its ugly head even now so that it's properly foreshadowed.

Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking of the best ways for certain characters to win the war.

She might have helped Shirou out of compassion last time, but it seems there's something good that came out of that after all for Rin. Now only time will tel if Rin can get over her internal dilemma and actually 'use' Shirou like any person who truly wants to win the grail war would do.

Excellent. I guess there's some truth in my speculations from the previous episode after all.

Shirou is bit too naive. Too naive about the war and the fact he is not a normal bloke trying to living his life anymore. I think Rin is trying to correct that error or she did really want to kill him.

Well overall not an actiony episode at all but it sure was funny, I thought the Fuji-nee and Saber thing was quite cute, Also the Rin and Emiya scenes seemed much more funny than serious.

Episode 5 had a little more emphasis on humor indeed. And we do see that another Servant has finally appeared as well...Rider.

Indeed, though, she could have finished off Shirou easily...Why the thing with the Scandinavian 'curse spell'? What is she trying to pull? A mage with her ability should easily take out Shirou...But that remains to be seen what would happen in the next episode.

I'll give it a 7. While this episode does has its share of humour, for some reason there is a tense atmosphere around that just keeps me from enjoying this episode.
