Lelouch - sees a world he wants to change and goes about it
Suzaku - same reason as Lelouch but having principals and trying to do it from within
Milly - Party princess - humour
Lloyd - Mad scientists - humour factor
Euphie - Pure, innocent, idealistic
Diethard - True to his calling, wanting to see the world change first hand

Oh, wow, one whole scene of her standing around saying nothing. That's not usage of her character. Sure, she might reappear down the line, but the one time her character was actually used for anything was during the Cupid Day event. And that's all she'll ever be used for.

Just be glad she's not piloting an orange mecha.

Lelouch --- for being a conflicted, multi-faceted, flawed (and also absurdly pretty, and dorky, and just plain adorable, and yet occasionally sexily evil, if one wants to be shallow about it XD) character, and for following it through to the end.

Suzaku --- ... for the same reasons as Lelouch. Basically.

CC --- for being mysterious, lonely, snarky, sad, wounded, caring, vaguely tsundere-ish at times, and... well, everything. She's probably my favourite character overall, if I had to pick.

Kallen --- for being hot-headed, determined, and hopeful, for following her own beliefs instead of just following Lelouch because she loves him, for occassionally being unlikable in her decisions and reasonings (to me, anyway), for being refreshingly realistic in terms of character, for being a badass fighter.

Nina Einstein --- for being a realistic portrayal of a xenophobe, for crazy psycho times, for her character growth throughout the seasons, for being a crazy scientist, for agreeing to work with Lelouch and Suzaku, for pretty much everything.

Euphemia --- for being sweet, naive, and hopeful, for her undeserved tragic ending, for being the only person who figured out Lelouch completely and utterly.

Arthur --- Because he's Arthur. Also, for stealing Lelouch's mask and prompting many lulz, for saving Suzaku from Black Knights soldiers, and for his last scene in front of the grave... awww, Arthur, you're adorable.

This is the OLD Favorite Character Topic. Well before the R2 Poll was set up. Notice how Jeremiah has so few votes before he became a Lelouch fanboy for example. XD
