It did. Zeon's name for Amuro, I believe. Even then, it fits Nanoha, what with her being a walking Gundam reference.

Well, kinda. The Zeons didn't exactly know who piloted the Gundam unit (except a select few like Char), so they referred to the Gundam's pilot as the "White Devil" (because the original Gundam was mostly white, I suppose). Likewise, Char, for example, was known as the Red Comet for his custom red mecha. So, basically, "White Devil" is the nickname for Amuro-in-his-original-Gundam, not one of the two separately.

If by Nanoha movie you mean if it's out in DVD, then not yet. It's still airing in cinemas after all.

That reminds me of the many rounds of applause that the Nanoha School Days got, until we pointed out what the source material was like. Good times.

At any rate, I haven't heard anything about the project being in a finished state, so I wouldn't hold my breath on it being finished shortly.

That's a fanwork-made project, nothing official.

No problem, I saw a couple of episodes some months ago, short episodes around 6-10 minutes each, it's mostly a Yuri story tough I have to recognise that the guys did an exellent job with the animation and voice acting, looks almost official.

just started watchiing nanoha striker and have a Q on ep 8

when tsubaru + Teana vs nanoha during the mock battle,the part when Teana wanna backstab nanoha.Why did Nanoha released her mode and stop the attack with her bare hands only? And why she shot down Teana later?

Have you gone anywhere past that? The next episode and change is about the reasons and ramifications of that event.

You have to consider the mental states of Nanoha and Tiara at that time. Recall Tiara's promise to Nanoha in the first half of the episode to not to do anything stupid. Also, Nanoha has said the reason herself.

"Why didn't... you properly follow the way we did in the practices? Is my teaching... my training... really that wrong?"

During that time Nanoha slept only four hours a day to prepare the training schedule of her students. She was both extremely angry and depressed that none of her student valued that.

Tiara then stated her reasons to Nanoha. She wanted to get strong as quick as possible by any means, as she no longer want to lose what she treasured, and no longer want to see anyone being hurt.

That's why Nanoha used the blood on her injured hand to show that Tiara had done the direct opposite. Since Tiara still wouldn't calm down, Nanoha had no choice but to let Tiara realize her weakness by force.

Or maybe Nanoha 'took off' her device in order to stop the exercise. Of course, Teana needed to feel gratified and useful so she still attacked her.

I think it's more to show how utterly wrong her way of thinking was to Teana. Because she did all that shit TO WIN against Nanoha. When reason of training is to improve and not to win. And when instructor shows your place without use of the device it might show you that you were NOT supposed to win at all.

Kobayashi doesn't apply in this case. If teana had used what nanoha taught her instead of completely losing her head to her inferiority complex(not that i blame her, it happens to the best of us), the mock battle would have gone on as usual with a focus on tactics. On the other hand, she actually tried to pull a kamikaze, so nanoha had to use superior power to scare the shit outta her before teana injures herself more than a combined crossfire shoot+bombardment could. it was a win-lose until she decided to throw reason into the bin.
