To be absolutely fair, TMNT's original comic origins were dark, gritty, and serious. They became popular with the original cartoon and the live-action movies, but as for TMNT going "dark and gritty", I think that's okay, because it is not untread ground as far as the franchise is concerned. I do agree that something like the Avengers would arguably be better for TMNT, but we've had such movies for TMNT like that before.

Design-wise right now, the only thing I take issue with is Mega Fox cast as April. The turtles' designs, I'm okay with. Even the lips. Lips will help make them more expressive, I imagine; it's happened in other movies.

Oh come on now what's the worse that can happen? I'm sure it'll be one of the greatest blockbusters of this summe...yeah who am I kidding?

I can understand going mo-cap/CG for the Turtles, but I'm not really feeling the designs or the overall look they're going with this movie.

yea unless pull "swerve" this version TMNT also exist shared-verse with bay version of transformers come on got megan fox as female version of sam witwicky in this movie.

really if other reason could convince yea i'm sure this will end-up being "uh-oh" no such thing as female turtles treatment.

Anyway I guess that "Megan Fox" was chosen after an accurate selections among several actresses in order to pick the one who would look the closest to the original April O'Neil that we all know, and not because Michael Bay likes her or "something"... right?
