Yeah, those moments of discussion between Tohru and Kobayashi were well done, I thought; very enjoyable. And once again the little touches of anime-original content fit in pretty nicely on the whole.

Also the scenes of Kanna obliterating the watermelon and the swim race made me giggle quite a bit.

Finally ... poor Fafnir. "Don't say anything. I'll kill you." "You look like the one who died here, Fafnir."

The Fanservice Episode was nice, both titilating and non one, the whole beach and the comiket was so funny, nice idea they dropped their masquerade in those events, poor lucoa, new rules against sexy cosplay are hitting her,xd.

Seems like it. It actually was pretty good all-around rather than a groan-inducing boobfest and definitely had nothing of the creepy overtones of the last one. It also contained probably my favourite quote from this show yet - the one about people not becoming adults as much as not being able to stay children any more.

I think the anime is a much better version, and adds more humor to Lucoa's character.

The lobster did get eaten in the manga. I was surprised they chose to change that here. She basically spent the entire beach chapter eating progressively larger things that one normally does not eat raw.

I wasn't thinking about her eating the dog, but I can see why people were worried . I guess Kanna has enough understanding to know you shouldn't eat something that belongs to someone else. Or....she just realized that would be a bit too big to fit into her mouth in a human form.

Making us question if it is all in our own minds seems to be their objective. The deliberate breaking of the fourth wall with the preview text at the end of last week's episode seemed to telegraph that intention. An other option to consider might therefore be that neither one of the episodes you had in mind was "fanservice", not in that sense of those words, though they are doing their fans a service by making us aware, through the juxtaposition between different episodes and the juxtapositions of certain parts within the same episode, i.e. beach and comiket as contrasts ... is this getting too tautological?

Kanna is cute even when gobbling up bugs, but I must admit, Tohru got the first place this week; her talk with Kobayashi was great and a very sweet moment between the two, and her comiket adventure was fun and my god, that photo session was adorable.

Also, she looks damn fine in a bikini

Anyway, I noticed there wasn't much loli love this week, so here's something. Perfectly SFW, just... don't think too much about it.

I think it was just the most common usage of the word, i.e, Kanna and Riko weren't wearing micro bikinis during their play session, therefore, less fanservice.

I know, it's a very simplistic way of using the term, but what can you do?
