Manga 'Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen/Kaguya-sama: Love is War' is getting a TV anime.

Plot Summary

With this, all the series I wanted to get an anime have been crossed off. Index III, Grand Blue, Promised Neverland, Kimetsu no Yaiba and now this.

Haven't been this happy in quite a while.

Not the least bit surprised at this announcement, in fact some might even say it was overdue. Still I'm happy to see another series I follow is getting an adaption.

I have a bit of fondness for the #1 and #2 ranked in school having a romantic rivalry with each other, like KareKano and Special A. Shame there aren't more derivative works like those, and hopefully Kaguya-sama anime may inspire more stories like those in the future.

Those review scores are impressive for a good reason. This series is DAMN GOOD.

It's a romance comedy that ditches much of the formula and puts the genre through a lot of unique twists. Only series I could compare this to would be stuff like the Jitsu wa manga, or Komi-san, etc.

Most stuff out there is crap that adds just enough variance to the formula to meet the bare minimum of avoiding being a copycat. But every so once in a while there comes a series where the author looks like he really put in the creative work to make the story and characters interesting. Where he is clearly trying to push the boundaries of the genre and make something unique. Something you read and you can clearly say, "THIS IS DIFFERENT" and actually feel the sheer passion that's been put into it.

This is one of those series.

This is my absolute favourite thing in the world. When I see an update to this manga, I'll stop whatever the hell I'm doing to read it. I love it. I love everything about it. I love every single character in this story (even the one's introduced belatedly).

Well so this is happening. I kind of figured this series would get an anime adaptation sooner or later. I'm not that dedicated a follower, but it is quite good. Looking forward to it.
