I'm hoping she saves herself. Being saved by others is boring and pathetic since she is the Avatar.

Even Aang had to be saved by others more than once. Being the Avatar doesn't make you a god that can break out of any mess and that the Avatar does have friends that can help. Besides, Korra isn't even a full fledged Avatar yet.

I've seen some people guess that Naga might come to her rescue and I'd be okay with that, otherwise yes it would be cool to see Korra finally enter the Avatar State and break out herself instead of needing outside help.

Oooh, Asami is jelly of Korra? Do I smell a future traitor in the making? Would also be awesome if she's the main villain in book 2.

And bloodbending comes back, without the full moon either. Now I'm more interested in a final showdown of Amon vs Tarlock, considering the amount of hate each one has for the other.

I thought it's a given that the previous Avatar would guide the current would-be Avatar.

I dunno man, Amon claims his parents were killed by fire benders. And if the leading theory is correct, the man on trial via flashbacks (possibly related to Tarlock) was not killed per se.

I'm not going to discount the possibility, but seems very VERY unlikely that Tarlock/Amon are the same person. I mean, Amon fights pretty damn well without having any bending at all, but Tarlock's effectiveness went down a ton when cutoff from water and only bloodbending saved his butt.

Bloodbending outside a full moon clearly seems to be his trump card and only used it when he was backed into a corner by the Avatar. If bloodbending this way was that common you'd think that more people would be bloodbending outside a full moon. I still think that this is a unique he received in the same manner Amon can remove bending.

Or maybe it's just a natural mastery of the technique.

I mean, 2 generations ago only the firebending royalty shot lightning and Toph the only known metal bender. Now you have common people working at power plants with lightning, and an entire police force using metalbending to uphold the law. Wouldn't be a stretch to say someone figured out to bloodbend without resorting to the full moon, or even finding a way to make chi blocking permanent without using avatar powers.

Maybe Hama was so weak that she could only do it on a full moon and that led people to think it could only be done during the full moon... assuming no one tried it outside a full moon.

I agree with this it was never really stated that a water bender actually need the full moon to blood bend it just gives water benders a power boost.

Aang's voice was underwhelming, but Toph still calling him 'Twinkletoes' and Sokka bragging about Sparky Sparky Boom man an boomerang brought tears. -Bolin's comic relief. -Asami, you jelly -A lot more airbending -Korra, you clever girl -Amon, you're pure hax. Resisting bloodbending far better than anyone in the series aside from Katara; even Aang had to use his Avatar State to counter it. Oh, and season finale preview looks like Pearl Harbor/WWII
