From what I heard from a friend, the only thing that is good about the movie is the CG and animation. The story plot is not as impressive and even quite predictable.

I think it's a very good movie. Good enought to buy the dvd and soundtrack after watching a fansub. Got mine from Asiandb www.asiandb.com.

It got nice grafix, nice story, nice music. Can't really think of anything bad with it.

If he's just charging you for the price of the CDs than it's probably worth a buy, but you could just download it on your own. I don't think it's licensed yet , so animesuki probably still lists fansubs (there are also some 2cd ac3 korean dvd rips around so...)

I enjoyed the movie... most of the recent anime movies i've seen have been studio ghibli type stuff so it was a nice break of pace.... the visuals are also pretty fantastic.

AFAIK, its licensed and you can't find it on animesuki anymore.

So what you see around the net are likely to be illegal.

Eh. Sure it's got nice CG up the wazoo, but that's it. There are plenty of better movies, plenty better anime, and I'm guessing plenty better Korean animation. Try something else.

Well it is missing from both the AnimeSuki series list, and the AnimeSuki License list, so who knows. Not to be nit-picky, but the distributed fansubs were illegal from the start (by nature), so your last line was needless.

Really? I got mine from a link on Suki's front page. There were several more releases later listed there. Guess I should destroy my copy or something.

It was removed from AnimeSuki because it was a DVD rip (the original release DVD had English subtitles), not a fansub (and we try to list only fansubs).

In the interest of further clarification, what is Animesuki's policy on fansubs of R2 DVDs (R1 unlicensed of course), which contain English subtitles, if the fansub group does their own full or partial translation (which is clearly different from the R2 subs)?

I thought that AonE did a fansub of Wonderful Days with their own translation. I have the file at home, so I can't check the credits right now.

This has probably already been answered before, but I couldn't find it.

Well, here's a link to the AnimeSuki Listing Policy.

If it's a rip from an officially released DVD (that happens to contain English subtitles), then we will not list it. But, a group could then use that same DVD and supply their own full or partial translation (which is clearly different), it would be then considered OK.

Clearly there is going to be a grey area as to what consists of a full or partial translation, and there is a problem in as much someone would need to confirm that the claim of it being an independent translation is valid, etc, etc.

AnimeSuki is a site for fansubs, so it needs to be translated by fans, not just ripped from the DVD (if it happens to contain English subtitles). If the same DVD is available on R1, then it's not considered valid.

DVD rips from dodgy HK bootlegs are a different kettle of fish. We have a (small) number of HK DVD rips (which have been edited to try and resemble a language closer to English) and they are considered OK most of the time. Which is a good way to combat Pirates, release their product for zero cost
