To be honest, I was not expecting Akashi to get pissed off like that. Something more like he was at the end of the chapter.

And that shot of the "deep" gate was not needed. I had completely forgotten about it until that panel. I don't get annoyed often with this manga, but it spoiled the mood.

We've still got 8:05 left. Plenty of basketball to go. Seirin's going to close the gap even more, Akashi's going to snap back to Akashi v.1, cue see-saw battle, wham. The end. At least, if it follows the stereotypical shonen route, it looks like this is it.

Very interesting, when Akashi thinks of the people who could defeat his victory-orientated other self, Aomine, Kise, Midorima, Murasakibara and Kuroko come to his mind. I remember a few discussions in the past whether Kuroko was considered part of the GoM or not, with this it should be completely clear.

I thought it was already established that Akashi had something wrong up that noggin of his.
It's probably not quite MPD/DID, since it's shown that each personality is aware of the other's existence and actions, and he doesn't have gaps in memory. But I'm not a psychologist, so anything I say is just speculation. He could be a BPD like me?

Looks like Akashi passes the ball to other players in their natural rhythm.
He has now become a pass first PG and by keeping his team mates in rhythm, Rakuzan is now in the zone.
If Akashi alone in the zone was not enough, throw 4 more bodies in and try again.

Based on this chapter, Akashi may have played a major role in hastening the awakening of other GoM.

Apparently, original Akashi's power is to draw out players' potentials with perfect passes. They're not actually in the zone, just close to it.

Kagami's stamina is depleted. At this point, it seemed like Seirin would lose short of some sort of Kagami-power-up cop-out. Then the last page. Shadowed person X who says Kuroko's name. If this isn't Ogiwara, I'll stop watching anime for a month. Looks like it's finally Kuroko's turn to shine.

Something tells me that the full power of Akashi's Emperor Eye isn't just in controlling his opponents, but his team-mates as well. His team made 100% of the layups during practice, which seems to indicate that they were being controlled by a third party.

Seriously, letting Rakuzan win and Seirin lose with their heads held high would absolutely be better than any other BS scenario the author could pull off just to let Kuroko be the winner
