i know this is a little off topic but i think there is a plot hole for kenpachi's strength
back in the SS Ichigo defeated him with only his shikia, but in HM arc suddenly he beats the 5th espada while Ichigo barely beats the 6th one with his hollow form
so is it a plothole or did kenpachi just got a super power up?

Neither. You're thinking too much on the lines of power levels and DBZ crap Bleach seems to be more about matchups and tactics rather than brute force... except for Kenpachi of course, though considering his opponents, Kenpachi's matches still rely mainly on matchups and tactics... for instance, he used a tactic against Tosen that most other characters wouldn't even be able to use, much less think of.

Stun in the middle of your enemy's bankai --> wait patiently for him to stab you --> get stabbed --> grab the sword --> ??? --> tactic?

I'll have to admit, kenpachi is the only one who can pull off such a technique, since he's plotkai'ed to be invulnerable to any sort of sword wound apparently. If anything, this kind of tactic needs a retard on the level of tousen who needs to do his self rationalization of justice for 20 minutes and finally decides not to lop your head off straightaway.

By the way, thats a nice cover. Is it tanabata soon? (wait, did i even get the name correct? XD)

Yeah cool fireworks on the cover. Not an Orihime in sight though... Isn't this supposed to be her arc? Maybe Rukia will make a comeback after her holes are patched up by Unohana....hmmm

Edit: Anyone else a touch freaked out by Rukia's smile? She's just not supposed to look that excited about anything...

Maybe she's excited about Ichigo's birthday, since the SJ release is a day before Ichigo's birthday. Renji looks downtrodden about something, maybe Ichigo and Rukia are on a date.

I hate to keep harping on this but this is the part I can never agree with. Ichigo may have not had bankai (and his bankai mainly only increases his speed anyway) yet but Zangetsu gave him all of his power and also Ichigo had the help of his inner hollow powers (hello hollow mask preventing him from getting ripped in half!). I still think it is possible that Ichigo had as much power spouting out of him here than just about any other point in the series since he had a combination of 3 powers.

And for those of you stuck on the whole Ichigo not having bankai thing for Kenpachi... please remember he did face two captains bankai's right after that and pretty much laughed them off w/o his eyepatch coming off and not using two hands on his sword!! I really don't think there is any plotholes. Kenpachi is just one of the strongest captains and people need to accept that!
