(CR) Digimon Xros Wars 2: Hunter Boys running through Time (Digimon Season 7)

Whatever is going on it's got to be bigger than what we're dealing with right now. Just stocking Tagiru up with a team of digimon. In a sense Tagiru is handy for replacing the old system. Instead of outright taking out the digimon Tagiru's like the bin you toss them into after winning.

At least with Cutemon appearing things should be interesting. The obvious target of that cute obsessed girl. Though being a member of Xros Heart they aren't going to let Cutemon be taken that easily. Almost need the members to show up in episodes like this since with the serious restrictions being put on the Xros loaders they can't bring out the whole team.

The whole time shift thing does seem to imply a time travel element. Of course characters are just yelling that out without even thinking about it. Would make sense why the areas look similar. Maybe a large=scale digital disaster that took out the human world.

Something has to happen. Right now the personalities just aren't much besides Taiki and Shoutmon. The rest of the team is almost always quiet and no Akari, Zenjiro, Kiriha, or Nene either.

Hello to everybody. It's been a little over a month since I last watched the ending to Xros Wars series one, and three weeks ago I started with the second series.

I hope to be catching up with all of you guys soon.

The differences between Xros Wars sequel and the first Xros Wars are made evident from the first episodes.

Aside that the animation staff that is working with in this new season is totally different from the previous one, the new series is incorporating several additions into the plot that right now I'm not taking a liking to.

The first Xros Wars to my taste was cool; the storyline and pacing was kept concise and straight with no side additions that would have made the story floating around seamlessly. However, I cannot say the truth for the time being about the sequel, because it raises lots of questions.

1. When did this Digimon Hunting started?, who initiated and for what reason?, how come this digimon hunting never came to be during Xros Heart team era in the first season?

2. The Xros Loaders to my understanding were originally designed by DarkKnightmon in order for him to grasp Digi-Xros to surpass Baguramon. Nene got the Black Xros-Loader which later turned into the lavender colored-one. Baguramon itself gave Kiriha his blue Xros-Loader. And Yuu's Darkness Loader became his yellow Xros Loader to help in the final battle against Baguramon.

I presume that Taiki got his red Xros-Loader from Omnimon, who in turn successfully stole one of the many proto-types devised by DarkKnightmon.

However, in the sequel we got that the Clock maker not only gives Tagiru his Xros-Loader to join Digimon-Hunting, but the old man himself has one of his own too.
It can be suggested that he also gave Ryouma, Airu, and Tobaris' own Xros-Loaders as well.

It's plausible and not too complicated to theorize that the old-man is the legitimate inventor of the Xros-Loader, and DarkKnightmon happened to have stolen one of the proto-types that the old-man created for its nefarious agenda, as seen in the previous season.

3. In the second episode to this new season, we all learn that all of Xros Heart Digimon are in the Digital World and doing fine, but what came of Kiriha and Nene, as well as Taikis' previous friends: Akari and Zenjirou. Where are they?

4. The whole concept of the Digi-Quartz dimension stranded between both the human and Digital worlds is as well confusing, though in this show's first episode they remark over and over that time between both world flows at different rates, as it was previously in Digimon Adventure.

Something happened in the one-year interval between Xros Wars season one and this season that triggered the Digi-Quartz, because that never happened in the previous season.


There are just too many questions that undermine the thread of flow for this show, making it convoluted, and it'll hurt to watch if this fine show that was in the previous season turns into a crammed mess, as it happened with Digimon Adventure Zero-Two.

I've been wondering this too. I don't care that they're gone (on the contrary I'm glad, though I agree with whoever it was that said Zenjirou would have been preferable to Tagiru as a new General/Hunter), but at least a brief word explaining their absence would be nice.

My current (and mostly baseless) assumption is that the interaction between the human and Digital Worlds when Bagramon invaded caused an overlap of sorts, creating DigiQuartz. Would explain why it takes the form of the real world, but with the Digital World's distorted sense of time.

I fully expect to be wrong, but it makes sense to me right now.

This ep is ..amazing.I love every seconds of it. !!
First of all.. I'm very glad to see Damemon and Yuu reunion.It feel really heartwarming although it's really the short scene. Thanks to proper character development of Yuu.Because we see his jealousness and sadness through ep4-5 So we can feel how glad that he can meet Damemon again. And see how his character has grown up from ss1 too.Nice job Digi Hunter staff.And Tuwarmon..You're awesome digimon seriously!!

Second is Airu, Wow...Her character was crazy but crazy in very likable way.:heh
When I saw her obsession in cute thing and how she can do the trap like that. Don't forget to mention Opossumon(in Cho-Hakkaimon mode too)They are very...nuts.But I love them.(Although I rather concerned about well...What Yuu will encounter in the future if he meet with Airu again.Seeing her do with Yuu's voodoo doll like that.)

The last was evolution sequences, Astamon you're so cool.!! When psychemon act like a boss and SUPER EVOLUTION.Damn... I LIKE him.

I actually didn't really like this episode and, perhaps more to the point, I utterly loathed Airu. In fact, I'm mostly ambivalent to the entire cast right now, barring Taiki, Yuu and that Dracumon kid (I could look his name up, but that I can't even remember it off the top of my head says enough). Astamon is awesome, though, if only because I've always loved Astamon; would have liked him more as a proper Digimon antagonist, maybe, but this will do.

This was a necessary evil I'm willing to accept, though, to help give some light to the new cast. Didn't really like that they completely cut out showing how Taiki and OmegaShoutmon curbstomped Astamon and Dracumon at the same time, though that fight wasn't really the important one anyway.

I still love Tsuwa/Tuwarmon though. Hopefully with both Hunter "teams" fully armed the plot will start going somewhere soon, but by the looks of the preview it seems like we'll be dealing with character based episodes for a couple more weeks. I expected as much, though.

For the viewer that watch the first season only few eps for some information like me(I don't like digixros system that much. X5 up is really...and well...maybe my biased anyway).I found Taiki is the most boring character here.His character is too perfect. [Aka "Perfect man"].But well....I don't want to comment about it too much. Maybe I missed something.[Please tell me what arc or ep that he got some development.I may endure to watch it at once].And Glad to see the staff put him at the senpai position here.It's really fit him.

No, you're not wrong; Taiki's development is negligible for the most part. My love for him goes hand in hand with my general dislike of your average headstrong protagonist, a la Taichi, Daisuke and now Tagiru. That isn't to say I dislike those characters (barring Tagiru; I'm having a lot of trouble liking him right now), just that I prefer seeing a different Digimon protagonist. It's the same reason Takato remains my favourite protagonist; whiny in the beginning he may have been, but he was a character that started off realistically and developed realistically.

Of course, Taiki leans more toward Taichi than Takato as a character. But he is different, and while he does come off as a bit "perfect" (it almost seemed like they were going to deconstruct his heroism, but that ended up being played straight), I just really like him. Having had 54 episodes with him as protagonist could have made me a bit biased, though.

Well take into account that the digimon partners went already from rookie to perfect level by the first episode. So far we've seen 5 perfect level evolutions: Arresterdramon, OmegaShoutmon, Tuwarmon, Astamon & Cho-Hakkaimon (though Omega and Asta have the power of an Ultimate). Add to this the limitations that have been placed on the Xros Up system and you'll get the answer. Who knows, we might even see the Burst Mode counterpart: Superior Mode.

I've been waiting for the day I will see GrandDracmon onscreen, and I don't think it's concidence that one of the digimon partners from the antagonist trio is its rookie form.

Xros Wars 2nd part reminds me of a mix of Tamers and Savers, which is really, really good.

I thought that they can't keep up only with Xros up forever.OK it's really variety to watch.But..They need more upgraded.I'm really sure about it.

And wow..Glad to see Savers and tamers fan like you.It's my top most favourite digimon series too.(Keep 02 for fangirl side of me hahaha) And Maybe its style look like Tamers because Xros wars hunter got the same director with tamers.(The last scene of OP in this season..Hell yeah TAMERS).ฺBut with the storytelling style that is the same as savers...My hope is here.Don't make me disappointed.

It's a safe bet that we'll be seeing evolution beyond their Perfect (until this series started I assumed OmegaShoutmon was an Ultimate, but Perfect with Ultimate power a la Astamon and Lucemon FM works too), true. I'm still sort of confused as to why they included Dracumon but didn't make Astamon his Perfect form, too, but either way if we see GrandDracumon I'll be happy. I was just curious if there was some indication that GrandDracumon would be present and I just hadn't heard about it, or something.

I wouldn't hold my breath on them showing up, especially for Nene. Kiriha is technically possible, but unless I'm misunderstanding they've both been written out of the show. Maybe a brief appearance or something, but even that's up for debate. Heck, even Taiki only came back to keep people watching; he might have gotten the boot too if they thought they could get away with it.
