I fear for Togashi. Seriously, I hope he gets better and no it's not just for hunter x hunter. When people close to me die I become catatonic and while he isn't exactly close; my admiration and honest to goodness respect fills that gap in my eyes.

Well, the next chapter's out! Not too much to say though since it's still focusing on Hisoka vs. Chrollo. But I must say.... the latter sure has several tricks up his sleeves, what with controlling people, using them in suicide attacks, and possibly switching appearances with them. Hisoka's got a tough fight on his hands!

This week's chapter is awesome, really interesting to see Chrollo use more abilities and even the audience getting involved now. What I wonder is who will win but it seems like Chrollo has the edge right now.

I also wonder what the other Trope members are thinking about their boss while this is all happening.

I find it suspicious for Chrollo to just explain his abilities like that. He's eithet trying to throw Hisoka off by making him overthink and focus only on the abilities he explained or fulfilling a condition for his abilities. That or he's just confident.

Yeah, I don't really get why he is explaining everything. It's either a trick or Chrollo is getting pretty full of himself.

a fight deserving to be called HxH-tier,

hisoka and chrollo are really some awesome couple (if it comes to fighting )

but i really think chrollo will win, he has so many hax abilitys that he could basically use whatever he wants XD
and his greatest weakness is gone too :O the original user can die and still leave his ability behind, furthermore, the skill will get stronger

Probably as he said, that the style is more important than victory or defeat. If Hisoka realizes what killed him, the victory is complete.

To be honest, I think we have to say goodbye to my favourite magician. Perhaps it's a way for Oda to concentrate on the main story line by getting rid of "side characters".
My hopes are, that he pulls something out to overcome Chrollo, but I doubt he would lose, if he has been collecting abilites for such a ridiculous amount of time to simply kill one opponent.

i always thought about why the people require to tell the true secret behind their abilitys
chrollo can also intentionally lie and twist the real way hiw stolen powers work, with that hisoka who will rely on this infos and not imagine that the ability would have other uses too

^yeah, maybe there is also some rules limiting that too (maybe he needs to kill their powers) but right now it seems that the death wont erase his powers anymore

Perhaps it's a way for Oda to concentrate

well the fight is fun. It turn into mind games. Chrollo revealed the ability that he would use but the question is will he use it all? plus even if he used it all, he has lots of dummies(audience) to be used as pawn and it turn into trick battle whenever Hisuka kills a pawn, it can be cloned and turn into puppet or it can be chrollo in disguised.

Hisoka is right, this turn out to be troublesome.

Given Chrollo's abilities, this fight could very well end with him faking his death. Hisoka doesn't seem like the type who'd fall for something like that though, but it seems to be the only way to keep both of them alive.

Given Chrollo's abilities, this fight could very well end with Hisoka losing his powers to him. Chrollo's a collector after all and I'll be damned if he's not fanatical about it

I'd like to think Togashi knows keeping both of them alive would be a massive cop out now.

It seems to be working out for him so far. Hisoka thinks Chrollo's aim is to finish him with Black Voice, and he was sure he'd used the second antenna on the big guy and the small guy.

All dangerous assumptions. And that's not even counting the possibility of Chrollo lying about only using four abilities.

(On a related note, I wonder how much of the audience was made up of puppets before the fight even started?)

Typical shounen plot device. That's another thing that makes me think he's fucked. Mind you, Togashi has proved he can subvert typical genre conventions when it suits his needs, but this whole chapter in particular really looks to me like the sort of hype a character gets before they get their ass kicked.

Let's wait and see.
