I think Chrollo must have some really good judgement to find the one person, who can imitate his ridiculous speed, so Hisoka can't distinguish between a mere copy and the real one...

That is rather creative way to use the sun and moon to maintain the copies. (correct me if i am wrong about it)

But what is truly surprised me is Hisoka only need one ability to compete against multi abilities user. He really made the mundane gum ability into a versatile deadly ability. Plus it is ranged ability.

Well, for anyone not getting whats going on in this fight, someone posted a explanation in MAL.
Quote:
Stage 0: Chrollo sets the initial conditions.
Chrollo reveals:
NEW ABILITIES:
Black voice
Summons 2 Antennas and a remote control that can control any person (Other species?). Requires the antenna to be jabbed into the subject.
Gallery Fake:
Creates perfect copies of inanimate objects. Can't recreate nen. Nor can it recreate living beings. Copies of living things result in corpses.
Order Stamp:
Can only control puppets. Corpses qualify as puppets. Copies made using gallery fake also qualify.
Convert Hands:
Needs to be bookmarked for both hands. Right hand gives others user's appearance. Left hand allows user to take on another's appearance. Appearance applies to Clothes as well, as shown by Ch. 354, where when converted hands is released, the subject returns to their original clothes.
Sun and Moon Signs:
Can place signs on anything user touches. One had applies the moon mark and the other, the sun mark. Once both marks touch, an explosion occurs.
Stage 1: Hiding and preparing
Escape in the audience.
Book mark Black voice and throw 2 Black voiced audience members at Hisoka to distract him
Activate Convert hands to disguise himself
Move bookmark to Convert hands
Release Black voice
Hide and wait.
Stage 2: Creating the Puppet Army and Issuing Orders
Steal clothes from a person
Take bookmark off Convert hands. Appearance returns to his own.
Bookmark Gallery Fake. Open book to Order Stamp.
Create fakes and order a portion of them to "break Hisoka".
From here onwards, play hit and run to wear down Hisoka as Hisoka has to deal with the swarm of Puppets
Stage 3: One on One with Hisoka.

Stage 4: Chrollo eyeing to loop Stage 2
Hisoka has basically killed off all puppets that have been ordered to "break" him, with the exception of one in order to keep an eye on if order stamp is still active.
like Hisoka said, Chrollo, who is hiding in the crowd right now, has currently active:
gallery fake on bookmark
order stamp on open page
Chrollo, right now, is supposedly trying to set up for STAGE 2 again and as Hisoka said, can:
give out orders to puppets in reserve
release the stamp to make more copies since it needs two hands, and after that
book mark Gallery Fake and use the open page for:
convert hands to hide again
order stamp to "break Hisoka"
If this is successful, Chrollo has successfully looped STAGE 2.
Stage 5: Hisoka's rushing in to stop Chrollo from looping STAGE 2
Hisoka rushes into the audience and currently assumes that there is only the bookmark on Gallery Fake.
Hisoka uses midranged Bungee Gum + Puppet Head as a way to:
get moderate damage in
keep Chrollo on the move, and not give him time to use Gallery Fake more
keep a distance to be less vulnerable to Black voice
Chrollo currently does not have the same mass of puppets to fully execute STAGE 2 again, so his options are:
hide the book in his jacket and open to Black voice and control people who are not fakes
open to order stamp and order the remaining copies to attack Hisoka

STAGE 6: The truth is revealed
After Hisoka grabs onto Chrollo with Bungee Aura and crushes his body with the head, but it's not Chrollo. It's not a fake either. It's an audience member made to look like Chrollo with Convert hands and controlled with Black voice.
But if two abilities are on at the same time, shouldn't Gallery Fake's puppets have disappeared? Nope. The head, which Hisoka used a weapon didn't dispel even though it's from Gallery Fake. Which means...
SUN & MOON MARKS MAINTAIN GALLERY FAKE PUPPETS EVEN AFTER BOTH ABILITIES ARE NOT ACTIVE.
Now, what this means is that for the entire time from Stage 2 to Stage 4, Chrollo was not forced to maintain Gallery Fake along with Order Stamp. The Gallery fake puppets were already maintained by Sun and Moon marks. So, this is actually what he did in Stage 2.
Book mark Gallery Fake, and make tons of puppet fakes.
Open page to Sun and Moon mark, and mark the made puppets.
Note: With the book open in the right hand, he can only apply the sun mark.
Bookmark order stamp, puppets will be maintained due to having the sun and moon mark.
Order initial wave of puppets with Order stamp to break Hisoka and steal somebody's clothes.
Begin hit and run strategy while puppets occupy Hisoka.
So, after Chrollo jumps back into the crowd in Stage 4 after Hisoka kills all but one of this ordered puppets (and also marked by the sun mark), he creates the fake Chrollo using Convert hands and black voice

This fight feels like it came straight out of Jojo. The number of Chrollo's abilities makes it quite complicated, but I've been able to follow it so far.

haha, i had the exact same feeling, only Jojo does this over the top strategy thinking XD
but HxH simply went to a higher stage, they always had the "think while, before and after moving"

That audience must really want to see this fight. I'm sure most sane people would have ran out of the stadium by now.

Maybe Chrollo arranged for them to be locked in. And dead for dead,, the audience's decided to enjoy the show.

I always felt like Jojo and HxH were very similar anyway. As for why the audience are still there... Maybe they actually want to see this fight so bad that it's worth putting their life on the line for?

^wouldnt suprise me,
hisoka wants to fight strong enemys even if he risks his own life, this is what makes him happy,
and a mass of idiots thinking that they are safe in a massive amount of people surrounding them is a common thinking

A draw? After both of them agreed to fight to the death?
No, I'm pretty sure that one of them will die during this fight. The question is: Who?
While Chrollo definately has some interesting abilities, story wise he is a rather boring character. Hisoka has the more interesting story, especially because of his connections to the main characters.

Now that you say it, Chrollo reminds me to Sensui from YuYu except Sensui had one of the most complex backstories Togashi ever wrote. Chrollo doesn't have much (for now though)

ch. 355

i finally understood how the whole stuff happened

and the fight goes into a even more epic levels, chrollo is really dangerous, hisoka should have attacked him in a open place with nobody around

either way, i understand why chrollo needs this tricks, in real h2h he will lose rather fast, as a special-type user his weakest point if body-strengthening, basically like a glass canon, but hisokas abilitys are tricky AND perfect for close/mid-range combat,

now lets see how hisoka will survive this stuff, his poor left hand is destroyed :'(

Hisoka going crazy with the heads was hardcore as heck. Still, the end confused me? Can we really say this is a fair match after Chrollo even called somebody to attack Hisoka

fair? no,
but seeing how chrollo used the audience and tricks from the very beginning i would say that only the results matter for both fighters

Pretty sure Chrollo knew what Hisoka's capable off and this was planned all along, I doubt Chrollo would have it so easy if they fought in a deserted place one on one.

Regardless I don't see Hisoka losing this, if anything I feel like Hisoka will soon start playing with Chrollo's head. Hisoka had lost his arms before ;p

but that got healed by a phantom troupe member, now he would only be attacked
plus, his arms got severed and not blasted into pieces, lets see how hisoka will survive all of this

Regarding Chapter 355....I feel like this fight is a bit dragged now.

My bet is on Chrollo for win although it may be a tie or something else, who knows. Either way, Hisoka is in a bad position and he needs to think of something outside the box if he wants to live.

He wants to kill. Living is not a priority for him right now.

True but if he wants to kill, he also has to live.

I'm really curious what the body count of this fight will count up to.

Okay, now this chapter I REALLY liked. It might have just been more of Hisoka fighting the audience, but it was still sweet to see him go berserk like that. Also, while it's true that he (most likely) has no Ryodan buddies to heal that hand, it's probably not that big a disadvantage in the end. Heck, knowing our lovable psychopath, it's probably an act to get Chrollo to lower his guard....

Oh, and I also like how this chapter addressed what we mentioned earlier about the audience sticking around for the match despite so many of them being killed/controlled, heh.
