But what about the second season? Unless the liscence covers only the first season, then subbers are still kinda sunk.

The second season may have been pre-licensed, just as Code Geass R2 was.

And is it just me or does the English 00 logo look damn ugly?

Exactly. I was looking at my different Gundam box sets the other night and I noticed that with the exception of MSG, the OVA's and the assorted movies, Wing, Zeta, G, SEED and SEED Destiny all used the same "Mobile Suit Gundam" font (with SEED/SEED-D getting a different color) that Bandai used starting with Wing. I'm hoping this is a placeholder while they finalize one that matches the other ones.

This is great news, I was starting to worry it might now make it over here. However, they had better damn well release this show on Blu Ray here. No way in hell I'm downgrading from what I've got now. Sorry Bandai but if you wan't my cash (and I am perfectly willing to shell it out to you) you are going to have to go High Def with this one and any other future Gundam shows that are released in High Def in Japan.

As if things weren't hard enough on licensors as it is, now they have to contend with free High Definition anime. They will truly fail hard if they only stick with DVD as people are now starting to realize there is free HD anime out there that is of noticably superior visual quality then the localized DVD releases.

DVD? That's so 20th century.

Its all about HD and Blu-Ray. Especially with high-def fansubs everywhere (which I can also stream to my TV), DVDs are just no match.

Since Bandai Entertainment have licensed Gundam 00, the following posts are no longer allowed:

Asking where you can find Gundam 00 downloads.
Providing links to Gundam 00 downloads.
Discussing Gundam 00 fansub groups (past or present).
Asking for help downloading Gundam 00.
Asking for playback help for Gundam 00 episodes.

These rules applies to fansubs (in English or any other language) and raws alike.

You still are allowed to discuss the anime, that has not changed, but please remember to limit the discussion to the story. Since there is no indication that there are separate licenses for the two seasons of Gundam 00, all of the above also applies to the second season.

LOL, its been licensed. Looks like my schools animation club can't show it anymore. Sad, but this is life. But I can't wait when it comes out in english, I want to see how well dubbed it is.

The dubbed versions of anime usually suck. Bandai does a crappy job in finding a good match between voice and character.

I actually found some scenes better than original.(Like the paint-ball mock battle in the beggining.)

However,looking back at recent works....meh,I wont watch it anyway.
