Though I was expecting Bakuman to end soon, I felt Iwase and Nakai were completely left out and didn't get the proper development they deserved. I was hoping both of them would make some sort of comeback even if it wasn't relevant to the story arc. Instead we still have Nakai as a slob and who still is an assistant. And Iwase didn't seem to have gotten out of her writing slump or come up with any new material. Well, I hope something good happens to them in the end even if its just in the epilogue.

One month, huh? Faster than I expected (if this news is true).

I know this isn't that sort of series (I hope...), but since it's coming to an end and all, toward the end of the chapter, I kept telling myself:
"Death flags? Are those death flags? They're not going to kill Mashiro off, are they?" |

As sad as it is for me to see them start wrapping everything up, this was a fantastic chapter. This is how it's supposed to be, properly wrap events up several chapters before the last! Other series need to learn this simple little thing.
Also, Kaya is adorable. I have to say, now that this long journey is coming to a close she definitely won me over and took first place for best Bakuman female. In terms of the anime, I agree with what was said earlier. I truly hope they can make it to the end, and if they cut out the 2nd Nanamine arc to do it then Bakuman's quality will skyrocket even more in my eyes. Can't wait to see where we go from here.

Divine retribution for Death Note. This is going to be one spectacular conclusion.
The actual wedding should be in full color. With double spreads. Quote:

Let's just hope Yoshida won't bother them when they're in action.

I wouldn't really consider that a real development. Nothing has changed with her aside from having Kosugi as her new editor. Her character (as well as Nakai) went to waste in the end.
As for the latest chapter it was great. Ashirogi Muto's dream of being the number one mangaka and beating Eiji has been fulfilled. The only thing left is Mashiro marrying Azuki and the manga can finally come to a close. Give or take it will probably end in 5-6 chapters. |

I am the only one who after this chapter feels somewhat shaky about Mashiro and Azuki? If it really is ending soon I know they will get together, but I thought I saw a lot of flags in that last chapter that made me feel off about it, but I could just be crazy.
