I think the Kizuna games have adaptation of the original PC arcs along with some new side-story chapters with all new characters.

AnimeSekai.com (ohhhh~ the prices! ^_^ <3) just got a lot of new Higurashi merchandise, including the Hanyuu and Rika PVCs and swimsuit figures (but the Rika swimsuit figurine is out of stock at the moment). They also have a clear file based off of Keiichi's magical swim trunks from Rei. xD
And the last thing that they just got is the third collection of the Deformation Maniac figures (cat-eared Rena in a swimsuit, Mion in gym uniform, and Keiichi). You can find the new stuff by scrolling the bottom of this page: http://www.animesekai.com/seoUrls.ph...ni%2F&page=all |

New Higurashi PSP game announced!
"Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Jan" Once again it is a spin-off game in the series, and from what I can tell it seems you can participate in club games, and if you're the victor you can select desired punishment games. It's also possible the story progresses like the PC VN's did. Also it's mostly animated which is very cool. The style looks new.

The artstyle is... meh... my least favorite out of all of the animated art styles (yes, even Higurashi season 1)... but it's just a fun game that I won't get and will hardly get much publicity... so whatever.

I find the style a pretty interesting take though, seems kinda shounen-like. And it works well with the creepy faces. If I knew how to play mahjong I'd probably import it seeing how big a fan I am. xP

Yeah sure, he's another trailer.
Anywho, I checked the video post date and indeed it was announced several months ago, and the game itself has acctually been out since this summer. S'pose that's what I get for not keeping track of this stuff, I end up making a fool of myself. xD;

Searching on Nicodouga, you can see a lot of them. My opinion, this likes an ero game than mahjong XD There are three playing mode: - Oyashiro mode: you play Keiichi, fight againt the girls in Hinamizawa. Because some drugs, they are in L4/5. And Keiichi will "save" them... - Club mode: chose any character to play, if you win, the loser will get penalty game. - Paikuzushi-hen (only on PSP version): same with Oyashiro mode, but those girls are not in L4/5. When you win, enjoy another penalty game

I just wanted that Hanyuu plush shown at page 13 so much,
so I searched for it for hours. But the only way to get it I found, was the Fandisc File.01. That means paying more money for something I can't use (unless the DVDs have english subs, which wasn't mentioned in the description). So, knows anybody a place where you can order the Hanyuu Plushie alone?

Anybody know anything about Higurashi Tactics? (With the 2009/06 date, I assume it's been released, but I couldn't find any mention of it.)

Oh so it was an arcade game before it was ported to PSP. I thought it was PC originally. No wonder it has such good animation.
God I'm liking the art style more and more from watching these. CPU's must be a force to be reckoned with too as I see quite a lot of losses there, or the person playing isn't very good a mahjong.

There a lot of cutting and he wanted to lose a bunch, so he can become level 5 infection I think. Well maybe someone else will translate the story panels for us
