Actually, Robotic;Notes was good VN, but it was not good VN type to make in anime
Also, There is already many Stein;Gate novel out, it would be great to adopt some of them into anime.
(Example, they one where he become member of 300)

So is this like that "epigraph" story, which is basically the story of the Okabe who sends a messenger to his past self with the message of how to save "Christina" from being killed by her own father?

They're making a new one anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.

I didn't think it was a good VN to begin with, and I personally never finished watching the anime. I knew I should have cancelled my pre-order after reading the demo, which turns out to be all of chapter 1, but being hyped by the fact that it was the "new entry in the science adventure series!", I took the plunge. Too much Steins;Gate love in me at that point.

The story is too painstakingly long. You learn about a thing or two, but that's after a long stretch of story, and that 1/2 things hardly mattered until the end. Each heroine's ending hardly depended on any of the conspiracy stuff. Most of them are just "oh let's screw thinking about the hard stuff and escape to the easy stuff" type of stories.

The story actually got more interesting when Sawada reveals the background plots, but unfortunately the resolution that came after that was so ridiculous that it hardly mattered. There also wasn't any sense of urgency (again, until near the end) in the plot, unlike in Steins;gate that happened mid-game. You get hints about different things, but they hardly mattered at all until again, when it all went down at the world championships.

It does sound like the epigraph novel... man Okabe was so broken at the start, it was painful to read...

They are, but it's not part of the science adventures series. Not that the brand matters much these days with R;N and C;C.

So it's basically the story of THIS Okabe?

In that case wouldn't it be more of a spin-off instead of a sequel? Since the events take place before the actual Steins;Gate ending.

Spoiler for s;g true end spoiler... just in case?:

I heard Epigraph has been out of print for a long time, so it wouldn't be a bad thing if they reprinted that because of this

Doubt it, but it's better to pre-order it to let them know that there is market for console Visual Novel, so they bring other excursive console games like muv-luv eclipse and chaos;child

I got the vita version just to be able to play it comfortably laid back on the couch. At least that's how I rationalize forking over the money for that metal uppa

Another PV, though it doesn't look different than the last one other than the new soundtrack used.

Are there any character official descriptions yet? I did come across several for the new ones in a wiki, though I'm not sure if I should take those seriously as not even the site has any descriptions up yet.

OP is very good - but I will wait for the demo of the game before pre-ordering.
