As for the OVA, it's pretty impossible not to fall in love with Yuiko at first sight.

Episode 00:
Yep, this was pretty much all the Mine\Kiyora material I pointed out was missing within the series itself. Man , I miss the Japan crew. Episode 12: It's anime-original, and it's completely out-of-the-blue and hilarious. I didn't figure Chiaki to be such a siscon. Okay, maybe itoko-con. |

Okay sure Lucas had a growth spurt but I don't think Chiaki has to worry about a 16 year old. edit: Okay I guess he did have to worry after all lol

*blows the dust off*
I enjoyed this season alot! It started to pick up at Episode 5 and things were coming one after the other ever since. The music scenes were outstanding and the Chiaki x Nodame intimacy scenes made me a puddle of goo. I find the ending to be satisfying: Chiaki no longer runs away from Nodame and Nodame no longer runs away from music. And everyone is coupled with someone. For me, the order of greatness of Nodame Cantabile is Season 1 > Finale > Paris. First season was the best of best, and Paris left no impression on me whatsoever.

Wow...
An anime about classical music is an instant winner for me. All 3 seasons of it (except Paris though, that was kind of ugh-ish.) First season was awesome though. Allegro Cantabile and Sagittarius ftw~ |

I thought this series would pull through better after completing the Paris series but it felt really rushed in the end.
Didn't even really feel like an end in some ways. However reading the earlier posts in the thread I was unaware of the author's situation so guess that played a lot on it. First season was the best, Final second, and least favorite was Paris. Oh well I still enjoyed Nodame, just sad because I was expecting a better conclusion (or just better executed conclusion).
