I wonder how they are going to fit that Eurazania Delegate & Dwargon Visit parts in the Season 2, considering those two plots were supposed to happen after the defeat of Charybdis, but before Rimuru left to go to the Human Nations and the School, during Season 1.

My guess is that, for the first few episodes, we would get sort of Flashback episodes, showcasing those plots which would eventually lead back to the end of Episode 23 from Season 1, and continue from there.

Note: By the way, both Eurazania Delegate & Dwargon Visit part aren't spoilers, because they are mentioned in the preview itself.

Seems like this is the only released subbed version of the subbed PV2, but hey, it's something (though as someone who read both the manga and LN, it gets the context wrong a little.)

Anyway, the subbed PV2 via this Twitter link:

Special Hinata Sakaguchi episode to air on January 5th

A week before the Season 2 broadcast begins, a special episode dedicated to the character Hinata Sakaguchi, who had been mentioned and teased in the first season and will make a proper appearance in season 2, will be aired.

Well, there are actually "two" more minor plots that Season 1 skipped (along with Eurazania Delegate & Dwargon Visit) both happening post the Charybdis Arc but before the Teaching Arc, and they could be covered in "Season 2 Part 1" (or under a Special/OVA in it).

The so called special episode about Hinata was just a recap with about one minute of new content featuring her. The only new thing we learned is that she thinks Rimuru killed Shizu, so if you don't need a recap, you can skip this. It was a badly done recap too, with everything out of order.

And also kind of funny because the last season finale was also kind of a recap episode teasing Hinata at the end, if I remember right .

(It only took me now to realize we have Takehito Koyasu playing villains in two different Isekai shows this season ).

It's funny how so many of these types of stories, the "antagonist" does not verify if the "protagonist" actually killed someone close to them before trying to kill the protagonist. Then again, the fact that Hinata was specifically mentioned to have left Shizue makes you wonder if Hinata has a problem in the first place, as in if she has some mental issues. Shizue probably had many students in the past, and they went on to do things on their own, yet Hinata was mentioned to have "left" Shizue.

So maybe Hinata is not truly a "good" person.

she can be considered a good person but she is very hash and practical to the point of being cold. her past was also difficult. she is not evil by any chance but she is no saint either, its in that grey zone.

That gray zone where she's easily manipulated into mass murdering intelligent, peaceful creatures? Or attempting to?

in the human world she was rather cold and mean. in the realm of monsters where there is more danger and uncertainty then things get fuzzy. she isnt a perfect person by any means but that cold demeanor does help her survive the monster world where things are more unpredictable. killing creatures intelligent or dangerous monsters is easier to paint with a big brush in the monster world.

RL is harsh also but its a different cruelty than one filled with monsters.

EDIT: i had to go back and read her past before being sent to the otherworld. the methods she used in the old world are not as unlikely when surrounded by actual monsters. though humans can be bad themselves.

"This new monster leader looks a lot like my old teacher, that means this monster must've killed her."

I'm sorry but I have to agree, as an anime only viewer this excuse is too flimsy for me.

I know we need conflict to keep this interesting but this is ridiculous. I like this series too much though so I'll still watch it

Ep 1: Carrion's people show up and obviously, diplomacy is first done by asserting dominance. That aside, Youm has grown a lot
