Shana has passed the assassin's blade to Eucliwood.

I wonder if it's a backlash against former champions at work here. I haven't really seen Eu be that strong before. Against Mikoto, no less.

Next up is a rematch between Kanade and Ruri - this time for the right to step up as one of two contenders for the Tiara of 2012.

Certainly didn't expect Eu to obliterate Biribiri. Knowing Tenshi did destroy Eu in regular season, though, the number doesn't quite add up...

Congrats to Eu, although this will be the last time I'll vote for her this ISML season with the other 3 girls being my waifu #1, #2, and #4. Taiga/Mio match is close, but Taiga continues to maintain her strength and managed to win by winning only China and SE Asia...

Arena 3: AB domination in ISML will not stop for awhile...Niku lose every single place, including Russia
Arena 4: Russia vote against the crowd here, nice to see Kobato winning Korea, Japan, and Thailand. Close to enough? No, but I don't expect Kobato to challenge Shana anyway.

For the exhibitions:
Arena 5 was close as expected. The imouto wins out but that was not a bad performance by Koneko at all.
Arena 6 & 7 = Mei and Hime destroy their opponents as expected. They're both on a different level...
Arena 8 = I wish Tsumiki ever get this much love in AST. Although to be fair, she faced Toki in first round...
Arena 9 = Clearly I was not the only one that abstained...
Arena 10 = Zombie definitely got strength if a secondary character can get this close to Akarin...

So, upcoming round, the Nth match between Tenshi and Kuroneko. And again, as much as people hyped about it, Tenshi will still obliterate Kuroneko as usual (Hanazawa fanbase will be basically split, but AB still has a lot more fan than the black cat. At least Kuroneko has next year after Oreimo S2...). Taiga/Eu is a little bit harder to call, especially after Eu destroy Biribiri.

And we'll see whether the Fire Sisters take advantage of a double vote...

7, 6, 5, 4? Since her debut at 7th place in the 2009 playoffs, Taiga has gained exactly 1 position a year. If the pattern continues, Taiga is destined to finish in 4th place. It's a record many characters would love to have but I imagine Taiga fans are hoping it doesn't. With a narrow win over Mio, Taiga has locked up a minimum of 4th place already. Just barely scraping by Mio really isn't that good a performance at this stage of the game. Taiga is going to have to find some last minute extra strength if she wants to keep going. Fortunately for Taiga, pulling extra strength out of nowhere is her specialty.

A repeat winner will not be happening this year. In a shocking upset, Eucliwood managed to take down my pick to win the whole thing, Misaka Mikoto. I really didn't expect Mikoto to lose, let alone to Eucliwood and definitely not by such a large margin! Looks like her failure to really beat on Kobato was a telltale sign of losing the favour of the voters. She wasn't able to bounce back like Kanade was. With Mikoto gone, it's Kanade's contest to lose. But, who knows if we're really done with surprises.

Yui may be out of the running for the Tiara but she's still giving it her best to finish as high as possible. She does as well on Sena as Eucliwood did back in Elimination 2. As luck would have it, she's up against Mikoto next who was just eliminated by Eucliwood. I don't expect lightning to strike twice but we'll see what happens.

Shana vs Kobato was a perfectly normal match. That means she did about as well as Mikoto and Kanade did. I guess those two matches really were caused by Mikoto and Kanade's failure to perform as they usually do.

Pretty surprised Eu managed to beat Mikoto, but things happen. At this point I wouldn't be surprised by whoever wins this thing. Still if Eu managed to get by Mikoto might as well see how far she can go.

That makes the most sense to me.

Speaking personally, I normally would have abstained on Mikoto vs. Eucliwood, but I voted Eucliwood this time since I didn't really want to see a repeat champion (especially with the repeat champion in question not being one of my personal favorites).

Given the sheer margin of victory that Eucliwood had over Mikoto, I suspect that many ISML voters made the same determination.

I think there is a separate consolation bracket to determine where the eliminated challengers rank at the end of the postseason. More wins = a higher end of season ranking. Not sure how high she can go though.
