Well she's grown up on the battlefield and forced to listen to her master all her life, so of she's be a terror in combat. Plus, when Oshizu read her mind and seen the images of the "darkness" she carries, it totally spooked her.

That's exactly it. Rito's as useless as your average harem MC, but he's a very positive person who always tries his best (that's the reason most girls are attracted to him), which makes him sympathetic. His only bad trait is his indecisiveness.

True, but the reasons for his indecisiveness is because of his shy personality. He's maturing, but he still hasn't fully come out of his shell yet. If he did he would've confessed to Haruna a long time go, he just needs more time to mature and gather himself considering he's aware of Haruna's feeling, but she's waiting for him to say the words to her directly.

Well, unlike Ichika... did tried to express his feeling for a girl, Haruna, and notices when he feels atracted to others like Lala. So thats a bit better than others, now he just needs to be proactive and thing will go better.

If he wasn't indecisive, Momo's harem plan would have worked out long ago

Rito has a completely different problem the only one he loves is Haruna and if not for Lala they would probably be dating. I think Rito is conflicted about the harem plan because in his heart only Haruna is there and although he fell in love with Lala haruna is still #1. Ichika's problem is he has a sister complex (granted not his fault) so because of it he's unable to comprehend the feelings other girls have for him

Then again if he didn't so much as met Lala he would've spent his whole school/entire life not making the effort to get close to Haruna as he is now. It's like you said Haruna is still his number one girl, but because of the interactions with the girls who are in love with him, and the harem plan getting in the way, it's putting a lot on his plate considering that he still needs to tell Haruna how he feels. She knows his feelings, but is waiting for him to make a move. For Rito it's either you "punch or block", and right now he's doing neither at the moment.
