The one thing I wanted to extend more is how Bruce Wayne got back in Gotham without being detected and his spine healing process. He was in that pit about 5 months. Those prison doctors are damn good.

I also had the impression that prison wasn't anywhere near America, hell the building you could see when he climbed out looked like the near or middle east or something. He did pretty well getting back with no passport, money, or clothing.

Also, someone mentioned that Bruce had a dislocated vertebrae, not a fully broken spine which would kind of have been harder to repair. Apparently that's what they actually do in real life with those, push it back into place (but less forcefully I guess?). I was a bit confused about that at first, wondering if Nolan made a blunder there, but I can accept that explanation. A lot of people's answers to how Bruce got back to Gotham was "Because he's the goddamned Batman"

Still, he would have had to get money, forge a passport, and catch a plane. Sure he could have stole clothing, but stealing a few thousand for a ticket and a passport seems a bit much, maybe he just hid in the luggage compartment for 18 hours. Maybe the League has some underground transport system setup to ferry people around, or maybe he teleported. Point is though it seemed a little easy for him to get back. It would have been easier to believe if the prison was some old place outside of Gotham (cause it's got enough relics for it to be there).

Also, both Bane and Batman are trained by the League of Shadows for years, right? So, they’re basically ninjas (or even more). Yet, when they fight, they only do a little more than blocks, jabs, elbows and upper-cuts (plus they're slow imo). With that kind of fighting skill, an action star like Bruce Lee or Jet Li will be more than enough to kick their assess .

Batman: Wears armor
Bane: Needs drugs to keep his pain down, which also makes him a bit sluggish Probability: Both Lee and Li will most likely be defeated, since they cannot either break through the armor or are simply overpowered. |

Lee & Li won't be defeated if their slow opponent can never land a hit . They'll figure something out while avoiding their lumbering enemies .

Det-san, I’m not talking about animated-Batman or comic-Batman, but TDKR-Batman. I’m well aware that animated & comic Batman is super-agile and ninja-like. Still, in TDKR, outside from his gadgets and little use of martial art skill, he’s just an (old) dude hindered by heavy armor and cape.

Here we see that in the animated universe an over-the-top fight is required...and that's what we get. Now in the Nolanverse such is not needed...or even practical, so it's not there. That says less about Batman and more about whichever universe he's in.
