I know they're extremely popular, and Anime Production Committee at work here, but their songs don't fit a lot of the series they're tied to.

I'll watch it once and then skip the OP every time after that.

Casual fans don’t realize how powerful music producers are on production committees. For a major series that’s a sizable chunk of the financial pie.

I personally really dislike their music and think their songs all sound the same.

I get why, I just wish they would have picked anyone else for a fantasy series.

But yeah, I get how powerful they are. I'm still reasonably sure that King Records had Tamura Yukari blacklisted for a few years after she left her contract.

It was okay, definitely overhyped by its fans, but at least the production values are excellent.

I enjoyed it a lot, there is always something relaxing in cooking anime and the party is funny. I liked the opening too.

charming dwarf and the mc is crazy. Looking foward to the next chapter

I like the French title a lot better: "Gluttons & Dragons". Sounds good and it's witty. Although perhaps "Dungeons & Gluttons" would have been better?

First episode was pretty fun. Marcille will probably be my second favorite Elf this season.

I could see why. It dives immediately in with almost no setup, very limited exposition, before immediately escalating the conflict (sister gets eaten, go save her).

Knowing what's coming to somewhat temper it, I still found the first episode to be relentlessly efficient, right on the degree of being a negative trait.

It's worth the hype, the narrative structure is just a bit unconventional, especially these first two segments. It feels barebones now, but it is pretty faithful.

The first two chapters of the manga were nicely animated and I get to hear the audiobook version of Senshi's cooking instructions. I'm not sure what else people were expecting, but as far as adaptations go I'd say this one is really well done so far.

Hearing talk about some upcoming shows is inevitable if you're around enough seasonal watchers so even by that metric something can become overhyped. Still, I at least try to avoid trailers or looking at details before a new series is out. The show can speak for itself.

Anyways, the show thus far. Fun with dungeon creatures and gags, looks like a good time.

I didn't have high hopes, so I wasn't disappointed, but fantasy cooking is literally just what the author says goes, so I don't care for those parts of the episode Also, I get that you can revive dead people so they don't really care that much about his sister's death, but he doesn't know if they can revive her from poop, so it'd be nice if he cares a bit more about his sister over food ...This was hyped? .....Well, some people like Twilight.
